Shawn Hochuli is an American professional football official. His officiating career began in the 2014 season as a side judge and he was promoted to referee from back judge in 2018. He was appointed as the head referee in the Arena XXIV between the Jacksonville Sharks and Arizona Rattlers and was also the head referee for a 2017 pre-season game.

Before his journey as an NFL referee, Hochuli also played college football at Pitzer College, representing the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. In 2014 he worked as a side judge. He was born in Tempe, Arizona on June 25, 1978. As of February 2025, he is 46 years old.

Ed Huchuli is the father of Shawn Hochuli. He is a former American attorney and football official. He worked in the National Football League (NFL) as an official from 1990 to 2017. Hochuli was born on December 25, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Canyon del Oro High School, the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Arizona Law School.

Ed Hochuli was hired by the NFL in 1990 as a back judge. His career as an official in the NFL began in 1992 when he was promoted to referee. He officiated many important games, including five conference championship games. A highlight of his career was officiating two Super Bowls: Super Bowl XXXII in 1998 and Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004.
