Stefon Diggs with the Buffalo Bills

Over the past four seasons, Diggs had established himself as the number-one receiver on the Bills roster. He along with Josh Allen formed a formidable partnership resulting in the Bills’ offense reaching new heights. Ever since Diggs arrived in Buffalo in the 2020 season, his on-field chemistry with Allen became evident.

As a matter of fact, he became the fastest receiver to reach 100 catches with a new franchise in the span of a single season. Furthermore, he received his first-ever Pro Bowl selection in his first year with the Bills and has since then continued to play in the game for the next three years as well. In the same year, Diggs also led the league in total receptions with 127 and receiving yards with 1,535.

With the Bills new look team, the Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs pair turned them into perennial playoff contenders. Unfortunately for Bills fans though, Diggs will now be playing for the Texans from the 2024 season onwards.

Stefon Diggs with the Minnesota Vikings

Before Diggs became a big force in Buffalo, he was playing as a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings. It was in fact, the Vikings who drafted Diggs late in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Diggs didn’t get the opportunity to start right away as he was further back in the pecking order, but when he got his chance he grabbed it with both hands. Before the season was over, he had already established himself as the new starting receiver for the Vikings.

In 2018, with more and more impressive performances, the Vikings extended Diggs’ to a five-year contract that would have kept him in Minnesota till 2023. That year, Diggs and his fellow wide receiver Adam Thielen became the first pair of wide receivers for the Vikings to each have more than 1,000 yards in a season since Cris Carter and Randy Moss who had done it back in 2000.

Even though everything was going well for Diggs on the field, there were rumors going around that Diggs was not happy with the situation off the field and wanted out. In this case, the Vikings made a deal with the Bills which is where Diggs spent the next four years of his career.
