Tom Brady is a legend in the game. The quarterback has played in the National Football League (NFL) for 22 seasons and is set to paly his 23rd season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. With 7 Super Bowl Rings and 3 NFL MVP honours, Brady is set to extend his time at the NFL. Tom Brady started his career with the New England Patriots and won the majority of accolades with them as he spent 20 seasons with them. Tom Brady Teams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2020-present)

Tom Brady currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He joined the franchise in 2020. Brady had declared his retirement in February 2022 but reversed his decision 40 days into his retirement. The 44 year old quarterback decided he still has some mileage left to perform at the highest level. Brady won a Super Bowl with the Buccaneers in his first season with them, leading them to their second-Super Bowl win ever. It was Brady’s seventh Super Bowl. In his first season with the Bucs’ Brady established an NFL record for most touchdown passes by totalling 581 touchdown passes. The Buccaneers did not make it past the Divisional Round in the 2021-22 season. Brady is currently the oldest quarterback in the NFL.

New England Patriots (2000-2019)

Brady was a compensatory pick by the Patriots in Round 6 of the 2000 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season as a backup but from his second NFL season Tom Brady showed what the other teams missed out on. He led the Patriots to their first-ever Super Bowl victory and helped them continue a dominance in the NFL by winning 5 more Super Bowls in the coming years. Tom Brady has won six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots along with 11 Conference Championships and 22 Divisional Championships. One of the major highlights of his career with the Patriots is the 2007 regular season, where the team went undefeated (without any ties). BRady was selected for 14 Pro-Bowls and named Super Bowl MVP 4 times in his tenure with the Patriots. He is also the only player to be part of both the 2000 NFL All-Decade Team and the 2020 NFL All-Decade Team.

Tom Brady spent the majority of his career with the Patriots and only spent the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before he played for the Patriots, Brady used to be quarterback at the University of Michigan. He was a backup quarterback in his freshman year and sophomore year at college. He set Michigan records for most pass completions in his first year as a starter. Brady finished his career ranking third in Michigan history with 710 attempts and 442 completions, fourth with 5,351 yards and 62.3 completion percentage, and fifth with 35 touchdown passes.

Why did Tom Brady leave the Patriots?

When Tom Brady left the Patriots in 2020 to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was a major shackock to the football community. Brady himself has not explicitly stated the reasons for leaving the Patriots. It is believed that differences with head coach Bill Bellichick was the main reason for Brady optin to leave the Patriots. He was also looking for a longer contract with the Patriots which did not come to fruition. Thus, Brady opted to leave the Patriots and join the Buccaneers.
