Road to Wrestlemania 31: Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is the top heel in WWE right now and had the year of his lifetime in 2014. Nothing has been officially announced yet he seems to be on a collision course with Randy Orton for the grandest stage of them all. He has proven he is a main event calibre mega star and every match he is will always astound.Rollins also still holds the money in the bank briefcase and looks to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion anytime soon.Let’s take a look now at Seth Rollins road to Wrestlemania.

#1 How was 2014 for Rollins

2014 was without a doubt the biggest year of Seth Rollins career. In the span of a single year, Rollins successfully transformed into the top heel and established himself as one of the best in-ring workers.

Rollins started the year, still a member of The Shield who proceeded to have a series of spectacular bouts with both The Wyatt Family and Evolution.

The beginning of greatness for Rollins came when he turned his back on his brothers to side with The Authority, destroying both Ambrose and Reigns with a flurry of vicious chair shots. His alliance with The Authority earned him the money in the bank briefcase.

Due to Brock Lesnar’s absence for a majority of the year, Rollins was able to flourish and become the top heel in the company feuding with the likes of John Cena.

#2 Momentum heading into Wrestlemania 31

At the 2015 Royal Rumble, Rollins had another career defining moment when he faced Lesnar and Cena in a triple threat for the WWE championship. Rollins without a doubt proved once for all that he belonged on the same level as these two stars, even outshining Cena throughout this match.

A Rollins v Orton feud that was teased late in 2014 now appears to be in the works for Wrestlemania. Also with the money in the bank briefcase by his side, Rollins is certain to become the champion extremely soon.

Rollins is riding an enormous wave of momentum into Wrestlemania and will certainly deliver.

#3 What to expect from Mr Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania

WWE are clearly building towards Randy Orton v Seth Rollins for Wrestlemania 31 and that match will surely be an intriguing one. Rollins is an incredible worker and Orton is no slouch himself so the match should impress.

With the money in the bank briefcase, it’s highly likely that Rollins may cash in on whoever the victor of Reigns v Lesnar is. WWE would be smart to capitalize on Rollins overwhelming momentum and give him another career defining moment on the grandest stage of them all.

#4 Immediate aftermath following Wrestlemania

If Rollins doesn’t cash in at Wrestlemania it could happen as soon as the next night on Raw. Regardless, time is running out and Rollins will be cashing it very soon. It’s almost an absolute certainty that when he does, it will be a successful one.

Rollins has transformed into the company’s top heel and giving him the WWE championship is the right move. The only thing that could have affected his rise to the top was the recent nude photo scandal however WWE seems to not let this stop pushing Rollins to the top.

It’s likely that a feud between former shield brothers Reigns and Rollins will occur. Look for Ambrose to also throw his hat in the mix, assuming he doesn’t win the IC title (which it’s highly likely he will win).

#5 Future stock/card position leading to Wrestlemania 32

Currently, Seth Rollins is in a prime position and has been consistently putting on incredible match-ups as WWE’s top heel. Look for that pattern to continue following Wrestlemania and in the build to next year’s stellar event.

Rollins has proven he is a main event calibre star and that should hopefully continue through to next year.

Rollins has potential to also be an amazing face but is performing so well in his current heel role that it will likely continue on for some time yet.
