As part of their plans to host the National Games, the Kerala capital of Thiruvananthapuram is set to get a new world-class multi-purpose stadium being built by the Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS).The Kariavattom Stadium is set to be a 50,000 capacity venue for football, cricket, live concerts plus indoor sport facilities for basketball, handball, swimming, table tennis and volleyball, besides offering an international convention centre, an exhibition hall, restaurants, a club house and retail space.
