WWE icon Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is currently one of the biggest box office draws in film and television today.

The former ten-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion has one of the largest followings of any celebrity on the planet. He continues to break records and draw viewers into everything he does. Film, television, energy drinks, workout clothing, and more, everything The Great One touches seemingly turns into gold.

But The Rock doesn't forget his past and humble beginnings. Whilst The Rock hasn't competed in a match inside a WWE ring since 2013, he often reminisces about his WWE career on various social media platforms.

In fact, there have been recent rumors that The Rock could be set for a WWE return sooner rather than later. Recent speculation has stated that The Rock could be set for a Survivor Series appearance later this year in November.

The reported Survivor Series appearance could be to set up a reported WrestleMania showdown with his cousin, current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Among other names such as John Cena and Batista, The Rock is arguably the biggest WWE Superstar to crossover into mainstream film and television.

With that in mind, let's take a closer look at five current WWE Superstars that have the potential to become as big as The Rock.

#5 Current WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair is the current WWE SmackDown Women's Champion. She captured the championship at WrestleMania 37 Night One by defeating Sasha Banks.

The match was historic for several reasons, one being that this was the first-ever WrestleMania main event between two black female performers.

Since winning the championship, Belair has successfully defended the championship against the likes of Bayley and Carmella on Friday Night SmackDown.

However, it looks increasingly likely that The EST of WWE will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against The Boss at SummerSlam this year.

Since winning the title, Belair has been front and center on WWE television and in several WWE promotional and marketing materials. The SmackDown Women's Champion even recently interviewed 'The Suicide Squad' star Margot Robbie to promote the upcoming movie.

WWE has high hopes for Bianca Belair, with a serious possibility that The EST of WWE could crossover into the mainstream.

#4 Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has grown to become a serious player on Monday Night RAW in the past twelve months.

The Scottish Warrior won the 2020 Men's Royal Rumble match before going on to win his first WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night Two. By defeating Brock Lesnar for the title, McIntyre instantly turned himself into a main event player.

McIntyre went on to hold the WWE Championship for the majority of 2020. This included several successful championship defenses against the likes of Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.

Whilst Drew McIntyre lost the WWE Championship to The Miz at Elimination Chamber 2021, The Scottish Warrior is still ever-present on Monday Night RAW. An argument can even be made that he is still the top babyface star on the brand right now.

With that being said, Drew McIntyre certainly possesses the look and ability to crossover into mainstream television and film productions. Can he become a star the size of The Rock? Only time will tell.

#3 Former WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch

Former WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch has continued to make history throughout her WWE career.

The Man was part of the first-ever Women's WrestleMania main event at WrestleMania 35, competing against Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

Lynch continued to make history by winning the "Winner Take All" triple threat match to become the first WWE Superstar in history to hold both the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships simultaneously.

Becky Lynch is currently on maternity leave and is expected to return to WWE soon.

Becky Lynch is one of the most recent WWE Superstars to "get over" organically with the WWE audience despite the original plans of WWE executives. Since her rise to superstardom, Lynch has become one of the biggest stars in recent WWE history.

This has already led to speculation that she could appear in various films or television series. At one point there was even speculation she might find herself in a Marvel Studios production.

It certainly seems apparent that Hollywood is more than aware of Becky Lynch's potential star power. The Man once shared a ring with The Rock, perhaps she will also share the silver screen with The Great One in the near future.

#2 Current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns

Current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been widely praised for his stellar performances on Friday Night SmackDown in the past twelve months.

After going on hiatus due to concerns surrounding the global pandemic, Roman Reigns returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2020. Seven days later he captured the WWE Universal Championship for the second time in his career at WWE Payback.

Since then, Reigns has turned heel and become the best thing on WWE television without question. WWE's current franchise player, The Tribal Chief has finally lived up to the potential that the company earmarked him for several years.

Reigns is currently scheduled to square off against WWE icon John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam 2021. This is amidst rumors that The Head of The Table could also face The Rock in next year's WrestleMania 38 main event too.

Roman Reigns has already shared the silver screen with cousin once before. Reigns and The Rock teamed up for the 2019 film 'Fast and Furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw.'

It's certainly possible that Roman Reigns caught the eye of many Hollywood executives during his film debut in 2019, with maybe more to come in the future.

#1 Former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks

Former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks has already begun her transition into the mainstream.

The Boss is a six-time WWE Women's Champion, a former two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and the third ever WWE Women's Grand Slam Champion.

Sasha Banks also made history earlier this year when she competed in her first WrestleMania main event against Bianca Belair. The match also marked the first time two black female superstars main-evented the showcase of immortals.

The Boss has begun her transition into acting too. Banks appeared in two episodes of Disney Plus' Star Wars show "The Mandalorian" during its second season in 2020. Sasha Banks has recently been on hiatus from WWE, reportedly filming scenes for season three of the Star Wars hit as her character Koska Reeves.

Considering that Banks is already appearing in high-profile television series such as The Mandalorian, it feels inevitable that she will continue to transition into major television and film productions.

The Rock began pursuing his acting career full-time and departed WWE when he was only 32 years old in 2004. Considering that Sasha Banks is currently 29 years of age, perhaps The Boss is destined to follow a path similar to The Great One.
