Lesnar's title reign nearly destroyed the title's value, but Roman Reigns winning the title changed things. Reigns' title reign did not help the title that much, but it was at least in good hands. However, at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, Lesnar returned to the ring only to dethrone Reigns and Strowman.

Lesnar is a part-timer, and we know that he won't defend his title on every pay-per-view, but WWE still decided to go ahead with their decision and Lesnar continued to retain his title against the likes of Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.

The title was already suffering a lot, and before it could recover completely, Lesnar won the title again. Everyone knows that we are barely going to see any Universal Championship match in the WWE and it merely means that the title is going to lose its value again.
