A recent report indicated that Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Shinsuke Nakamura and WWE Champion AJ Styles' contracts expire in 2019, as their three-year deal which they signed in 2016 will come to an end.

While Nakamura and Styles, who are US champions and WWE champions, respectively, will most likely stay in the WWE, the tag team of Gallows and Anderson may not be a regular fixture in the WWE in 2019.

The report also indicated that NJPW would be glad to take back the tag team, an offer which they may take up as they have been underused and haven't featured at the top of the tag team card in the last year or so.

Since switching to SmackDown Live during the Superstar Shake-Up, they had a brief feud with the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, but haven't had much going for them. An exit from the WWE is imminent.
