From the WWE Rumor Mill: Scott Dawson to return next month

What's the story?

According to a recent report from PWInsider, Scott Dawson, who has been out of action since August due to a bicep injury, will return to action in about a month.

In case you didn't know...

Scott Dawson made his debut for the WWE in 2012 when he joined NXT. He was paired with other NXT Superstars initially as a part of different tag teams before finally being paired with his current partner-- Dash Wilder.

They were initially called "The Mechanics", before being named The Revival. Although, they went by the name Dash and Dawson for a while in between.

Dash and Dawson are former 2-time NXT Tag Team Champions and have been involved in noteworthy feuds with Enzo and Cass and American Alpha during their stint in the NXT.

The Duo made their debut on the main roster on April 3, 2017, which was the RAW after Wrestlemania.

Unfortunately, Dash Wilder got injured soon and the team were out of action until May 22. Bad luck plagued the duo yet again when Scott Dawson got injured and the team has been out of action since then.

The heart of the matter

The Revival holds two victories over coveted Tag Team -- The New Day -- and is considered and one of the best Tag Teams in NXT history.

The team has lost a lot of momentum due to injuries and Scott Dawson being ready for a return is great news for the team to get back on track.

It is being reported that Scott Dawson will be able to make his comeback sometime around next month.

What's next?

The Revival were posed to be the next Tag Team Champions before they were struck by the injury bug. So, it is very much possible that we will get to see a feud between The Bar and Revival upon their return.

This is great news for the already brimming Tag Team Division. With the Shield and The Bar currently embroiled in a rivalry, it will be interesting to see who The Revival are going to enter a program with once they make a comeback.
