The Black Lotus Triad tore the Temple down!

Johnny Mundo achieved a historic feat last week by becoming a Triple Crown Champion when he beat Sexy Star to capture the Lucha Underground Championship. This week, the focus shifted to ‘The Breaker Of Bones,' Pentagon Dark, and his growing feud with the newly debuted Black Lotus Triad.

The show kicked off with a video package that highlighted the storyline between the Black Lotus Triad and Pentagon Dark. A locker room segment between Vampiro and Pentagon Dark aired next. Pentagon Dark was seen talking to his former mentor and current announcer Vampiro. Vampiro warned Pentagon that he would have to pay the price for his sins even is he walks out of tonight’s Gauntlet match in one piece.

He concluded by telling Pentagon that he still remembered what the masked destroyer did to him in the past. Pentagon Dark didn’t say a word and flashed the ‘Cero Meido’ Symbol before walking away.

The cameras cut to the Temple where Matt Stryker and Vampiro welcomed the fans and hyped up the Gauntlet match for the night. Vampiro played along with the storyline involving his former protegee to perfection by refusing to respond to Stryker’s questions regarding the match. Vampiro was silent all throughout as Stryker focused on the history of the feud before the bout got underway.

Gauntlet Match

Pentagon Dark vs. The Black Lotus Triad (Black Lotus, Hitokiri, Yurei, Doku)

Pentagon Dark was at his ruthless best

Pentagon Dark came out first with the fans chanting ‘Cero Miedo.' His first opponent in the Gauntlet match was revealed to be Doku, who made her entrance wearing a leather jacket with her arms crossed. Pentagon looked confused due of the entrance. Vampiro dropped a cryptic message when Stryker asked him about Doku’s background and the match itself. Vampiro’s analogy of a warrior and a monk dropped hints of a threat to Pentagon, and Stryker couldn’t help but clarify about the same. Vampiro just shut Stryker off and told him to focus on the match.

The bout finally got underway with Doku taunting Pentagon to come to the middle of the ring with the Cero Miedo sign. Doku got the better of Pentagon with a barrage of strikes, slaps and a nice chop in the corner. Pentagon surprised Doku with a perfect dropkick that sent Doku crashing into the turnbuckle. She recuperated quickly and kicked Pentagon in the knee to get the upper hand. Pentagon, though, stopped her in tracks with a perfectly timed superkick. She got brutally punished from there on as Pentagon took her outside and administered a sound beating.

Pentagon press slammed and rammed her face first into the apron after wearing her down in the midst of a hot crowd. Pentagon was insanely over with the crowd for the entirety of the match. Pentagon continued the beatdown on Doku, but the scales tipped in favor of Doku after she delivered a spear to the Breaker of Bones. She went up to the top rope and landed a flying elbow on Pentagon. She wasn’t satisfied and went to the top rope again to execute another one. This time, Pentagon had her covered and caught her in the arm breaker submission move. He snapped her arm off, which forced the referee to call for the bell.

Result: Pentagon def. Doku via referee stoppage

A segment featuring Jeremiah and Catrina aired after the break. Catrina was at her manipulative best as she touched upon the fact that Jeremiah's girlfriend Ivelisse got injured right before their match at Ultima Lucha.

She seductively convinced Jeremiah that he was brought into the Temple at her behest and that he doesn’t love Ivelisse anymore. She backed it up by shifting his attention to her piece of stone that Jeremiah was wearing. She went on to tell him that she loved someone else before giving him the lick of death to end the segment.

The cameras cut to the Temple again, and Pentagon looked more than ready for his next opponent from The Black Lotus Triad. But before she could come out, Pentagon took to the mic and cut a promo in Spanish. He said that it didn’t matter how many of them come out as they all would get their arms broken. He promised that after he gets with every member, he will cut Black Lotus in two pieces.

Gauntlet Match

Pentagon Dark vs. Yurei

The in-ring action resumed with Yurei being introduced by Melina Santos as the next opponent for Pentagon in the Gauntlet match. The bout kicked off with a wild exchange of arm drags between the two. Yurei got the better of Pentagon by sending him out of the ring with an arm drag. She launched herself onto Pentagon and laid him out him with an explosive crossbody from the top rope. Yurie looked to avenge Doku’s loss by inflicting pain on Pentagon on the outside. She threw him onto everything available in the Temple premises; the walls, railings, the chairs and the announcer's table – nothing was spared.

Yurei got Pentagon back into the ring and went for a kick, but he countered with an ankle lock. She showed a lot of heart by reaching out for the ropes to break the hold. Pentagon took over the reigns of the match. It didn’t last long as Yurei took Pentagon down with a Hurricanerana, and followed it up with a double foot stomp from the top rope for a two-count.

She kept up the pressure with an around the world DDT. Just when it seemed like Pentagon would fall, the Destroyer from the Darkside caught a leaping Yurie and executed an insane small package piledriver. He wasted no time and broke her arm with the arm breaker submission. Two down, two more to go!

Result: Pentagon Dark def. Yurei via referee stoppage.

The match between Matanza and Rey Mysterio was all but confirmed in a segment that aired after the break. Matanza was seen pounding on the walls when Dario came and told him to be ready capture the Lucha Underground Championship next week. Matanza was least interested in the top title of the company and instead, uttered just one word when asked what he wanted; Mysterio! The segment ended with the shot of Mysterio’s question mark entrenched in blood on the wall.

Gauntlet Match

Pentagon Dark vs. Hitokiri

Hitokiri – that stands for Assassin in Japanese – began the match by surprising Pentagon with a missile drop kick right out of the gate. A huge leap off the top rope by Hitoriki onto Pentagon elicited a holy Sh** chant from the believers. The high-flying onslaught didn't stop there as she took him down with a suicide dive. She continued the dominance by clobbering Pentagon with the steel chair.

At this point, Pentagon was in the middle of getting the beating of his life. As if the chair shots weren’t enough, Pentagon was sent face first into the exposed concrete floor by Hitokiri. She took him back into the ring and the action resumed. Pentagon resorted to the low blow to break Hitokiri’s momentum. It was now time for Pentagon to victimize Hitokiri and he started off with some vicious strikes and a straight kick to the head.

He pushed her out of the ring and sent her flying into the wooden chairs. He got hold of an electrical cable and tried to choke the life out of her with it. He went on to use the ring post as means of her choking her out. The steel chair came into play again, but this time Hitokiri was on the receiving end of the punishment. Hitokiri somehow survived the brutal onslaught and a deadly death valley driver on the outside.

What followed next was daredevilry at its absolute best. Hitokiri took Pentagon down with a toe hold onto a steel chair. She quickly went on top of Dario Cueto's office and jumped off onto Pentagon. Holy freaking Sh**balls!

She took advantage of the situation and pushed him back into the ring. Hitokiri countered Pentagon’s small package piledriver into a Destroyer Bomb. She goes for the pinfall and gets the three-count.

Result: Hitokiri def. Pentagon Dark via pinfall

The loss didn’t mean the end of Pentagon’s misfortune as the final match in the gauntlet was yet to come. Black Lotus finally made her way out, flanked by her teammates Doku and Yurei.

Gauntlet Match

Pentagon Dark vs. Black Lotus

The end was near for Pentagon Dark as he was reeling in pain after the Destroyer Bomb. Pentagon slowly made it to his feet and the referee Marty Elias called for the bell and the Gauntlet to continue. Black Lotus looked like a woman possessed as she took the referee down and began to demolish the man who broke her arm a few weeks back.

Amidst chants of the believers in the temple to ‘break his arm,' Black Lotus gave Pentagon a taste of his own medicine by snapping doing exactly what was asked of her. Thus, the Gauntlet came to an end due to Pentagon’s inability to continue. But that didn’t mean the end of his misery. Out came Dragon Azteca to exact his sweet revenge on Pentagon. He first stared down Black Lotus, who retreated with the rest of the Black Lotus Triad. Pentagon’s left arm suffered the same fate as the right. Azteca showed no mercy in turning him from ‘Cero Miedo’ to ‘Cero Armas’. Meanwhile, Vampiro looked on from ringside and enjoyed the sight of seeing his former protegee lying helpless in the middle of the ring.

The show ended with an epic scene in which Prince Puma was seen rising from a casket. A face-painted Vampiro uttered the words ‘come with me’ as the show comes to an end. What an end to a breathtaking show!
