It has been a year since Randy Orton was last seen on WWE TV, and fans seem to be missing The Apex Predator.

Orton was last seen on the May 20 episode of SmackDown in a tag team title unification match against The Usos. Jimmy and Jey got the better of RK-Bro during the bout with some help from Roman Reigns, becoming the Undisputed Tag Team Champions in the process. In the aftermath of the encounter, The Bloodline brutalized Orton at ringside, effectively writing him off TV.

Popular Twitter account Wrestle Ops recently shared a post reminding fans that it has been one year since Randy Orton's last match in WWE.

Some fans still hope The Viper will eventually return to in-ring action.

The Apex Predator did some of his best work after teaming up with Matt Riddle to form RK-Bro. The team was an instant hit with fans and did incredible numbers in merchandise sales. The duo also went on to win the RAW Tag Team Championship from AJ Styles and Omos at SummerSlam 2021. They lost the title to Alpha Academy in January 2022, only to regain the gold in March.

Bob Orton recently shared an update on Randy Orton's condition

WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton Jr. recently spoke with Sportskeeda's Senior Editor Bill Apter. He discussed his son's progress after the back surgery.

The legend mentioned that Randy was back to training regularly and could make a comeback if his body permitted him. However, the veteran also revealed that the doctors had advised The Viper against returning to the ring.

"He's training, so we'll see what happens; I don't know. If he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might, but again he's pretty well taken care of. I don't think he needs to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do."

While there are no concrete reports on Randy's in-ring return, fans eagerly wait for The Legend Killer to return to the squared circle.
