WWE Hall of Fame 2016: Cancer survivor Joan Lunden and Snoop Dogg possible inductees

Lunden has done a lot of work with the Susan G.Komen foundation

With the death of WWE Hall of Famer, Ultimate Warrior, WWE and Warrior’s family decided to create the ‘Warrior Award’ to honour those brave persons who have fought with diseases like cancer.

The inaugural Warrior Award recipient was Connor “The Crusher” Michalek, an 8-year-old who braved cancer, but ultimately succumbed to the disease in April 2014. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE's next choice to receive the award is Joan Lunden, a breast cancer survivor.

Joan has hosted Good Morning America for years. She recently partnered with Susan G. Komen and WWE to spread awareness against breast cancer. Like last year, Joan Lunden will be awarded at this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony.

Speaking of Hall of Fame, every year WWE inducts a celebrity who has been a part of the WWE. Though Regis Philbin was rumoured to be this years’s inductee, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the most likely inductee is rapper Snoop Dogg.

Snoop and Sasha

WWE officials are rumouredly working on getting the induction done. It bears note that WWE Diva Sasha Banks is a cousin of Snoop Dogg and has said that Dogg inspired her a lot ni developing her in-ring charisma.
