What’s the story?

Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters aka GFW’s Chris Adonis, took to social media to criticise Sasha Banks after "The Boss" branded fans who wait for her at airports and hotels as ‘stalkers’.

In reference to Banks’ aforementioned comments on Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast, Masters asserted that Banks is nothing without the fans, and also said that the former RAW Women’s Champion is being a diva.

In response to Masters’ comments on Banks, several professional wrestling fans hit back at the ex-WWE Superstar on social media.

In case you didn’t know…

Sasha Banks recently expressed her frustration over fans lining up at airports and hotels to meet her.

However, the "Legit Boss" was criticised for referring to said fans as ‘stalkers’; with a few members of the pro-wrestling community siding with her on this one, while some others disagree with her take.

The heart of the matter

Chris Masters took offence to Sasha Banks’ comments on certain fans being stalkers, following which he sent out the aforementioned Tweet, taking a jab at her.

It wasn’t long before fans got wind of it, and fired back at Masters, with a few of them pointing to the fact that several male performers such as Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, Big E, Tyler Breeze and Randy Orton have made comments against certain fans, on the same lines as Banks.

The fans, however, noted that Masters chose to go after the female performer, rather than his fellow male wrestlers, probably because as a woman, she would be an easier target than the men.

What’s next?

As of writing, Sasha Banks is yet to issue an official response to the ongoing fiasco.

Author’s take

In my opinion -- and you’ll get it if you listened to her interview on the podcast -- Sasha Banks did come off a bit rude while lashing out at the fans, who she claims follow her around.

Nevertheless, everyone has a right to privacy and if Banks feels uneasy with the constant fan attention, we as fans ought to ease up on her rather than hound her (sic) around just for an autograph or photo.

Stop harassing The Boss, damn it!
