What's the story?
Professional wrestling legend and WCW booker Kevin Sullivan was a guest on the Interactive Wrestling Radio show recently. I thank No DQ for the heads up and the quotes.

During the course of the interview, he was asked about Roman Reigns getting booed much like Hulk Hogan did before his heel turn. Sullivan replied by saying that he could get Reigns up and running in just 8 weeks!

'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan is one of the greatest characters and minds in the history of wrestling. Not only was he known for his dark and enigmatic gimmick at a time when many thought of wrestling as real, he handled booking for WCW at the peak of the Monday Night Wars.
The essential issue he discussed was Roman Reigns being greeted by a chorus of boos every time he comes out. Sullivan suggested a solution to this very problem during the interview.
The heart of the matter
According to Sullivan, you can't get a superstar over simply by pushing him now:
It is so easy. I think I could get him (Reigns) up and running in 8 weeks. To me, it doesn't matter if they cheer him or boo him. I used to think you could get a guy over just by pushing him. You can't do that anymore. This is now.
He would go on to say that to make Reigns more relevant, he would have to be turned:
Now everybody is a connoisseur of wrestling and they're not going to take you shoving people down their throat. I think this is a challenge that they think they're going to win. I think they should cut their losses and turn him.
What's next?
Roman Reigns is currently feuding with Jinder Mahal. This is certainly building to a big match down the line. Could this experiment finally get Reigns cheered considering how much the crowd dislikes Jinder Mahal?
Author's take
It's actually a very easy call for WWE. All they need to do is to turn Reigns when the time is right and they would have the best heel in modern day sports entertainment.
The babyface Reigns character has certainly grown very stale.
