WWE RAW - Best and worst- Reason why Austin Theory replaced Rey Mysterio, Sly dig at AEW, Top star missing from the show

This episode did nothing to get us hyped at all
This episode did nothing to get us hyped at all

WWE RAW was a fine show but it did not quite fulfill its basic purpose. It did not get us hyped for this weekend's pay-per-view at all, and honestly, that should have been the primary objective.

Adam Pearce is clearly a heel now, but it's difficult to determine whether it's a good or a bad thing. One has to believe that the only reason he's gone over to the dark side is that he'll be feuding with Brock Lesnar, who's a babyface.

That was pretty much the only real development from WWE RAW this week. Everything else was just your standard fare and had no elements of a go-home show.

Are you excited for Survivor Series 2021 at all? Let us know in the comments section below.

#3 Best/Worst: The WWE RAW Women's Champion is far better than her challenger on the microphone

Liv Morgan cut an okay promo when she came out to confront the WWE RAW Women's Champion this week. Unfortunately, you don't square off with Becky Lynch in a promo battle and win, irrespective of whoever you are.

Morgan gained some of her steam back by dropping the B-word and picking up the WWE RAW Women's Championship. But even then, Becky Lynch's aura just shines much brighter than anyone else as the company's top star.

Hey, did anyone catch the WWE social media team putting up this Tweet above? Yes, it happened during WWE RAW and no, your eyes do not deceive you. It almost certainly has to be a reference to AEW star Ruby Soho. Was this a dig at her?

It baffles the mind why Becky Lynch, despite the crowd roaring in appreciation for her, is still a heel. She is more popular than any other babyface on the roster.

#2 Best: Here's why Adam Pearce turned heel on WWE RAW this week

What happened after the WWE RAW main event is certainly worth noting. It's crystal clear now that Adam Pearce is a heel. By removing Rey Mysterio from the lineup, he's ensured that the WWE RAW Survivor Series team is a heel squad. It also sows the seeds for future storylines on the brand.

Meanwhile, with the exception of Corbin, everyone on the SmackDown side is a babyface. Provided that is, that the new entrant on the team is a babyface too.

#2 Worst: But where is MVP?

Last week, MVP returned to action and the world celebrated in unison. And yet, he was missing from WWE RAW this week. Without MVP by his side, Bobby Lashley just seems like a shell of the man, the myth, the monster he is.

Also, can we talk about how The Hurt Business was reunited only for a limited period on WWE RAW some time ago? Why would you have a faction break up, reunite and break up again?

#1 Best: The arrival of The Usos

The WWE RAW vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions matchup at Survivor Series 2021 was the only aspect of the show that was touched upon this week.

By proxy, WWE built up Roman Reigns vs. Big E too, although one may argue that it could have been done better.

The Usos, as one would expect had a great match on WWE RAW and it was a great start to the show. But then...

#1 Worst: Nothing else on WWE RAW hyped Survivor Series

Nothing happened. Nothing at all. 3 hours of WWE RAW, and no invasions, no challenges, no promo battles via satellite (something the company loves to do on other occasions), and no Damian Priest.

How does the company expect us to be kicked about the upcoming United States Champion vs. Intercontinental Champion match if there's literally no hype around it?

One has to believe that this upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown will feature one or more invasions. That has to be the only possible answer, right? Right?
