About NFL Week 2 Schedule

Week 2 of the NFL season is one that fans enjoy looking forward to as by that time, all teams have had their first regular season game under their belt and get in their stride for the year ahead.

Moving along to the matchups of the NFL week 2 schedule, there are quite a few interesting clashes that we will take a look at in detail further below, but things will get underway with the Thursday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. The week 2 NFL schedule for Sunday will feature no less than 10 games starting at 1:00 p.m.

Game on Thursday, September 12

An encounter that could be a thrilling affair when the Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins. These two are the teams to beat in the AFC East and both will be fired up for this one. The Bills pipped the Dolphins for the AFC East division last year after going through a rough spot in the middle of the season.

However, this time around, the Dolphins seem to have a better roster while that of Buffalo’s has been anything but great. It remains to be seen just how quickly Josh Allen and his revamped receivers room will fare in just the 2nd week of the season.

Games on Sunday, September 15

This week 2 game between the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars could be one of the games of the week. Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses but are also building their rosters since the past few years. As for the Browns, they will have quarterback Deshaun Watson back in the team after an injury cut short his previous season while Trevor Lawrence will continue to lead the Jaguars charge once again.

The Browns find themselves in a tough division which means the outcome of all their games will be that much more important. As for the Jaguars, they blew their chance of winning the AFC South in 2023 allowing the Texans to overtake them and clinch the playoff spot. Thus, they will be looking to rectify that mistake.

In what is probably the game of the week, we have the Cincinnati Bengals visiting the Kansas City Chiefs in week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. It will be another huge clash as Joe Burrow makes his way to Arrowhead stadium where he has gotten the better of Patrick Mahomes more than once.

Having kept most of their receiving core together, the Bengals will be looking to have a much better campaign this time around as last year Burrow’s injury resulted in them finishing last in their division. This game against the Bengals means the Chiefs have back-to-back tough games to start off the 2024 NFL season as they take on the Baltimore Ravens in week 1. It will be interesting to see how they handle both crucial games despite being at home.

The Chicago Bears head down to Houston to play against the Texans in this Sunday Night Football matchup that pits the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud against the 2024 number one overall pick Caleb Williams.

As both teams have improved their receiving core and gotten better on both sides of the ball, this game has all the makings to be a great one. Led by young and highly talented quarterbacks, both teams should be exciting to watch, especially the Bears now that they finally have the best man under center in a long time.

Game on Monday, September 16

To round out week 2 of the NFL schedule, the Atlanta Falcons will go up against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The Falcons have added veteran signal caller Kirk Cousins to their ranks this season injecting life into the offense. However, this is still a work in progress team and may find themselves outmatched in this game.

The Eagles have kept their offensive unit as strong as before but they will be keen on getting back to winning ways after their terrible end to the 2023 NFL season. The Loss of long time center and future Hall of Famer Jason Kelce will be tough to overcome. Even so, the Eagles should have enough ammo to come through with a win.
