The NXT TakeOver 25 took place at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. One of the main reasons why the former AEW Women's Champion was in attendance was to support her boyfriend.
Adam Cole was set to challenge Johnny Gargano for the NXT Championship in the main event. After a hard-fought battle, with some help from his friends Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, and Roderick Strong, and two Last Shots later, Cole picked up the win.
During the show, one of the special guests sitting at ringside was Stephanie McMahon. A photo is currently going viral of Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., seemingly giving Triple H's wife the 'death stare.'
Former WWE official Drake Wuertz who was once trusted to keep Stephanie McMahon safe, recently announced his retirement
Recently, former WWE referee Drake Wuertz announced his retirement from pro wrestling.
Before signing with the Stamford-based promotion in 2014, Wuertz competed in the independent circuit under the ring-name Drake Younger.
The wrestling veteran recently took to his Instagram to announce his retirement and also thanked all his fans who had stood by him all these years.
"For those in the pro wrestling space you may have heard that my 21 year in ring wrestling career has come to an end. We in this profession all know that the ride we all want can end at any moment due to the physical punishment required for the job. It certainly does not make it sting any less when that day actually comes," wrote Drake Wuertz.
The 38-year-old mostly served as a referee in WWE. During a match featuring Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon was confident that the wrestling veteran would be able to keep his daughter safe.
