New Delhi, August 14, 2013: The second day of the path-breaking Vodafone IBL saw cut-throat matches between ace players of Banga Beats and Mumbai Masters. Mumbai Masters secured a well deserved 3-2 lead over Banga Beats in the capital today.

The men’s singles saw Mumbai Masters emerge winners with Vladimir Ivanov and Marc Zweibler beating P. Kashyap and Hu Yun respectively. Within the women’s singles match, Ying Tai Tzu kept her nerves in the nail biting game beating Tine Baun.

Speaking on the win, Vladimir Ivanov said “This was the first time I was playing against Parupali Kashyap and I was not sure of his shots. His strokes were quite fast but I only had a psychological advantage over him. The win of the tie is the first for the team and with little more encouragement we will win over everyone.”

Post her win Tai Tzu Ying said “I enjoyed playing against Tine Baun . The crowd here was very encouraging and it really boosted my confidence level during the match.”

Speaking on their win C Mogensen said, “We did not get a chance to practice with each other and hence it was an exciting win. I did not feel as if we were playing for the first time together. We hope to continue the winning streak.”

A Dewalkar added, “Mogensen is my idol and playing with him is like a dream come true. We would like to thank the crowd for supporting Banga Beats”.

Mark Zweibler said “it was very tough in the beginning and I managed to keep my calm. It was an exciting win for me and the huge cheers of the crowd kept me going”.

P Kashyap, the Icon player of Banga Beats said, “I would personally give all credit to Ivanov for the little edge in my match against him. All matches were very close and player exhibited fierce fight against each opponent. It is just the beginning and we will surely win the upcoming matches.”
