Bobby Marks asserts Nets should fire Kyrie Irving next: "How many more chances is this organization going to give Kyrie Irving?…Enough is enough”

Kyrie Irving just can't seem to avoid controversy, no matter how hard he tries. The Brooklyn Nets star once again found himself making headlines this week for two separate incidents.

Irving first shared a video on social media that made various antisemitic ideologies and claims, including that high-ranking Jewish people worship Satan. It quickly became a hot topic as many criticized Irving for giving the video attention.

Shortly after, he was questioned about promoting antisemitic content, something he took offense to. The former champion claimed that by reposting the video, he wasn't promoting the ideas shared in it.

When pressed further, Irving became agitated, claiming that the reporter was attempting to dehumanize him. Ultimately, the Nets star ended the press conference and walked out.

It doesn't seem as though any reason has been given as to why Irving shared the post. Despite this, in the wake of the Nets brass doing damage control, former front office executive Bobby Marks thinks Irving needs to be fired after Steve Nash and the team parted ways earlier today:

"How many more chances is this organization going to give Kyrie Irving? ... Enough is enough. I'm not talking from a trade standpoint.

"I understand that Ime Udoka is the last person that could maybe reign this group in but if you're the Brooklyn front office. Send him home. You do not need Kyrie Irving."

Kyrie Irving has been trouble for Brooklyn Nets

Kyrie Irving has continued to create controversy and generate headlines for quite some time now. Irving's ineligibility as a result of an unwillingness to comply with vaccination mandates was the leading story throughout much of last season.

That wasn't all, as Irving also made headlines during COVID-19 restrictions when he skirted mask mandates at an elementary school.

So far this season, Irving has also drawn criticism for sharing a video by controversial conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. The post, made last month, prompted NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to call for companies to cut ties with Irving. From the sound of things, Irving has no plans to stop reposting controversial stuff.

Nets expectations from the new probable coach Ime Udoka

After the Brooklyn Nets fired Steve Nash, Marks explained that the last hope for the Nets to get it together may lie in Ime Udoka.

It's an interesting position considering the fact that Udoka also finds himself amid controversy. As it stands right now, the Boston Celtics coach is currently suspended from his role following reports of an inappropriate relationship.

With the Nets posting a below-average record so far this season, Udoka has been linked to the coaching role left vacant by Nash. After the Hall of Famer and the franchise parted ways Tuesday morning, talk immediately shifted to Udoka re-signing from the Celtics and stepping in for the Nets.

Whether or not Udoka will be able to rein in Irving while also managing the ongoing problems with Ben Simmons remains to be seen. In the meantime, the team is set to face the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night at home, where assistant Jacque Vaughn will handle coaching duties.
