College football analyst Mike Chadwick has made it clear that Ole Miss Rebels WR Tre Harris is one of his picks for the SEC's best wide receivers. He cited the young man's incredible physical gifts.

In an episode of The Paul Finebaum Show, here's what Chadwick said:

"He's got unbelievable hands, that he's made routine circus catches for Ole Miss last year. I'm really high on the Rebels next year, I think Jaxson Dart is a really good Heisman candidate [sic] because of how many weapons they have there at Ole Miss. And Tre Harris is obviously one of the top ones there."
"So I'm expecting another big year from Tre Harris next year, he should be probably the second best receiver next year in the SEC, behind Luther Burden III in my opinion."

A former Louisiana Tech transfer, Tre Harris moved to Ole Miss last season and recorded what was likely his best CFB season. He tallied a career-high 985 receiving yards on 54 receptions, compared to his 2022-23 mark, where he had 935 in 65 receptions.

These numbers were enough to let him average another career-high mark in yards per reception (18.2), alongside eight total touchdowns for the year. He was especially stellar in the Peach Bowl for the ninth-ranked Rebels against the 13-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. For the game, he logged 134 receiving yards on seven receptions, averaging 19.1 yards per reception.

For now, the upcoming season is one of expected improvement for Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin, especially with Harris and starting QB Jaxson Dart coming into their own on the offensive end.

With them handling a good chunk of the scoring load last year, the Rebels were 30th in pass completion and an excellent 12th in the nation in yards per pass (via Team Rankings).

Massive expectations for Tre Harris in 2024

As one of the top returning players for the Ole Miss Rebels in the upcoming 2024 season, Tre Harris carries a weight of expectations that one might think could be too big to handle. But the young man is anything but unprepared for the challenges ahead.

With his stellar 2023-24 campaign, Harris is among the reasons why pundits are picking Ole Miss as among the favorites to break into the newly expanded CFP pool (via Sports Illustrated).

Dalton Wasserman even went as far as to say that the Lafayette, LA, native being the SEC's best WR by the time the season ends won't be too much of a shock.
