Bottom-placed Delhi Daredevils are set to take on the Chennai Super Kings at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi, in what is considered to be a dead rubber in the Indian Premier League this season.

The Daredevils have confirmed their place at the bottom of the points table after just three wins in twelve matches this season. Despite putting on big scores and despite their batsmen constantly performing well, they have failed to get the right results. Their bowling has been their main problem as they have leaked too many runs and failed to pick up wickets at the right moments.

They will now face the Chennai Super Kings, who have already qualified for the playoffs and all but confirmed their place in the top two of the league. The Daredevils will be playing for pride and hoping to finish the season on a high.

Let's take a look at their predicted XI:

Prithvi Shaw came into the playing XI midway through the tournament and has looked extremely solid at the top of the order. Apart from a couple of failures, he has given his side a brisk start on a number of occasions. He will look to continue to make a mark for himself in the upcoming matches and get the selectors to notice him.

Colin Munro played just a handful of matches this season and has not been able to make much of an impact. He got going in a couple of matches and failed in the other few. However, given Jason Roy's poor form with the bat, we could expect to see him back at the top of the order for the remaining two matches.

Shreyas Iyer took over the captaincy reigns from Gautam Gambhir midway through the season. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get the desired results. However, he has been effective with the bat as he has scored a couple of matchwinning knocks for his side. He will look to end the season on a high and help his side gain some pride.

Rishabh Pant has been the best batsman for the Daredevils this season and arguably one of the best batsmen in the entire tournament. He has taken on the opposition bowlers with aplomb and smashed them all over the park. He even became the first Indian to score a century this season, only to see his side lose the match.

Vijay Shankar had a slow start to the season and wasn't able to get the desired results. However, he bounced back later on and was able to get a few worthy contributions to his name with the bat and the ball. He will look to make a mark for himself in the final two matches and get the national selectors to notice his performances.

Abhishek Sharma played his first match of the season against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and played an exceptional knock of 46 in 19 deliveries. He looked extremely confident at the crease and was able to take on the bowlers with ease. He will surely be a part of the playing XI for the final two matches as well.

Amit Mishra has performed decently with the ball but would have hoped to have picked up a lot more wickets throughout the tournament. He has been quite expensive with the ball and will hope to improve upon this aspect of his game in the upcoming matches.

Mohammed Shami will most likely make a comeback to the side for the remaining two matches. He has not been able to make an impact in the few matches he has played this season and will hope to turn things around.

Sandeep Lamichhane played his first match of the season against RCB and was extremely effective with the ball, picking up one wicket and conceding just 25 runs in four overs. The team management will continue to persist with him for the remaining games as well.

Junior Dala, too, played his first match of the season against RCB, however, he failed to make an impact as he conceded 34 runs in three overs. He will hope for the selectors to give him another chance.

Trent Boult has led the Daredevils' bowling attack but has had quite a topsy-turvy season. He has not been able to pick up a lot of wickets and has conceded quite a few runs as well. He will hope to improve on his performances in the remaining two matches.
