[Watch] "Bhai, audio bandh karo" - Rohit Sharma pleads to broadcast crew to mute his footage ahead of MI vs LSG IPL 2024 clash

Rohit Sharma's outspoken nature has led to some hilarious moments in the past as well

Mumbai Indians (MI) opening batter Rohit Sharma pleaded to the camera crew with his hands joined to record without audio. The veteran's recent audio footage while speaking with Abhishek Nayar at the Eden Gardens went viral, and safe to say, he does not wish for a repeat of the saga.

Rohit Sharma was seen on the boundary lines of the Wankhede Stadium along with his former teammate Dhawal Kulkarni when the camera crew caught him. He was clearly audible, and once he got the sight of the camera lens, he begged them to omit the audio while stating that he was in trouble over the last leaked audio footage.

"Bhai, audio bandh karo ha? Ek audio ne mera waat laga diya hai, (Brother, please mute the audio. One audio got me into trouble)," Rohit Sharma was heard saying.

Rohit Sharma came on as an impact sub in the first innings itself rather than at the start of the second innings. The veteran came on sooner following an injury to pacer Arjun Tendulkar.

Audio of Rohit Sharma's conversation with Abhishek Nayar had caused mayhem

Ahead of the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens, Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar were spotted by KKR's social media team. The camera crew got hold of the former teammates walking on the ground, but the footage also had almost the entire conversation, which made its way online.

The post was soon deleted, but the damage was already done. Fans made the audio viral, where Rohit Sharma was speaking about the ongoing season either being his last for the Mumbai Indians (MI) or the last one of his career.

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai...Woh unke upar hai...Jo bhi hai who mera ghar hai bhai, woh joh temple hai na, maine banwaaya hai. Bhai mera kya, mera toh yeh last hai, (Every single thing is changing, that is upto them. Whatever it is, it is my home. The temple that is there, I've helped built it. Brother what is to me, this is my last anyway)," Rohit Sharma said.
"I didn't even know about it, I think it's just a storm in a teacup. They have been good friends since god knows how long and someone has done something there just to create some mischief. I talked to both of them, they were talking about something else. Some people just have too much time on their hands," KKR CEO Venky Mysore had soon debunked the theory though.

Rohit Sharma is currently at the crease to kickstart the second innings after LSG set them a mammoth target of 215 runs in their last match.
