Edinson Cavani has given indications thus far that he would like to end his one year stay in France, according to reports.

The prolific Uruguayan striker has reportedly told his agent that his heart is set on a move to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old had joined Paris Saint-Germain last year back from Napoli on a five year deal for around £55m. His tally of 26 goals in all competitions last season helped PSG to their second successive Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de la Ligue and a quarter-final spot in the Champions League as well.

Cavani has been disgruntled ever since he was forced to play out wide for the majority of the campaign by Laurent Blanc after being promised that he would be utilized through the middle. With Angel di Maria closing in for a summer move to the French capital and Zlatan Ibrahimovic occupying the central position up front, the Uruguayan hitman is considering his options.

This will certainly peak the interests of teams like Manchester United and Chelsea, who have been linked with a move for the ex-Palermo man.

Liverpool might also come into the fray with the Reds looking for a replacement for the now departed Luis Suarez.

On being asked a move to Old Trafford, Cavani didn’t rule out any possibility, saying; "In football, you never know. Anything can happen. One day you are in one team and, the next day, you can be in another."
