Rumour: Eliaquim Mangala reportedly close to completing £32m move to Manchester City

If media reports are to be believed, FC Porto centre-back Eliaquim Mangala is on the verge of signing for Machestester Cty. Various sources have been reporting that the French international will supposedly have his medical at the Etihad in the weekend before completing his £32m switch from from the Portuguese powerhouse.

Mangala was part of French squad for the World Cup in Brazil, but failed to get on to the pitch for Les Bleus.

The sturdy centre-back has been the topic of immense transfer speculation this summer with City’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea also linked with the Frenchman.

But now it seems that Manuel Pellegrini will have his man, after he was spotted in Manchester with a club official.

The 23 year old is expected to put pen to paper before the defending champions jet out to the US on July 21 for their annual pre-season tour.
