Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has offers from three clubs according to the player’s father.

Luka Rakitic quotes that the three sides chasing his son, who is a target for Liverpool, are La Liga’s top three Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

According to Sport Review, Inside Spanish Football quote Rakitic senior as saying “Right now his brother Dejan, who looks after his career, has offers from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. Whatever happens though, nothing will be decided until after the World Cup. After that, the conversations will begin,”

Rakitic has played over 100 times for Sevilla since joining from Schalke and has scored over 20 times. The Croatian was widely considered to be the best player outside of the top three in La Liga this season.

Brendan Rodgers has already made it clear that he wants to strengthen his side as they prepare for life in the Champions League.

Rakitic had been a player that they had earmarked as a potential signing but they also face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United as well as the Spanish trio.

This season Rakitic helped Sevilla to lift the Europa League and he will be an important part of Croatia’s World Cup plans along with Luka Modric.
