Chelsea fans on X waxed lyrical about Axel Disasi after he impressed during their 1-0 win against Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, January 13.

Mauricio Pochettino and Co. signed Disasi from Monaco over the summer for a reported transfer fee of £38.6 million. The 25-year-old centre-back has helped the Blues keep seven clean sheets in 25 appearances across competitions but has been criticized at times for his inconsistency.

The Frenchman was included in Chelsea's starting XI as they defeated Fulham 1-0 in their Premier League clash. Cole Palmer's stoppage-time penalty in the first half sealed an important win for the Blues.

Disasi looked assured defensively. He made an excellent block in the 54th minute to prevent Willian from scoring. He also made four clearances, and four recoveries, and won five duels.

Chelsea fans hailed him with one fan posting:

"Disasi solid again with Thiago Silva wondering out of position. Always has to hold grampas hand and gets none of the credit. It all goes to Silva at the end of the game LOL."

Another fan wrote:

"Still asking what y’all hate Disasi so much. Like I don’t see it at all. He breaks lines and rarely plays the wrong pass in buildup. Defensively does well enough. I don’t get it honestly."
