Chelsea defender David Luiz has been heavily linked with giants of the football arena – Bayern Munich and Barcelona. However, the English outfit have asked all suitors to match a valuation of £35 million if they are to have a chance to bag the impressive center back.

The erratic player has been in and out of the side this campaign, starting only 9 games in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho so far. The Portuguese manager has not been convinced with the 26-year old to give him a regular starting berth alongside rejuvenated ex England captain John Terry.

The charimatic Brazilian moved to Stamford Bridge in 2011 in a bumper €25 million deal, five-and-a-half-year contract from Benfica, with Nemanja Matic moving the other way.

Chelsea, however, will be looking to hold on to their asset who provides the much needed options in defense as they look to secure silverware this season.
