Joao Mario’s big money transfer may be done in the next few days

Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. Inter Milan are closing on a €45m transfer for the key Chelsea and Liverpool target while Jurgen Klopp’s long-term target has signed a new 5-year contract with his current club.

Jose Mourinho has personally contacted Belgian Player of the year to sign for Manchester United this summer while Barcelona have agreed a stunning deal to sign La Liga’s top class striker.

On that note, here are the most popular transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on August 13th.


Serie A

- Roma have made a €17m bid Torino’s right back Bruno Peres, according to reports from Sky Sports Italia. Reports claim that Roma’s offer is spread over two years whilst negotiations have formally begun for the Brazilian right-back.

- Lazio have put in a request to take Nabil Bentaleb on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. According to Daily Mirror, Bentaleb has agreed to join the Serie A side after making just 10 appearances last season. Spurs are yet to respond to Lazio’s offer.

- Sporting CP President Bruno de Carvalho hinted Joao Mario to Inter for €45m is imminent. In his latest statement to Sporting TV, Carvalho said: “At times a deal must be done.” Reports claim that Inter have agreed on an initial €10m loan deal with mandatory option to buy in 2017 at another €35m.

Jonas Hector
German international Jonas Hector has signed a deal to stay at Cologne

- According to German newspaper Bild (via Sport1), Chelsea defender Michael Hector will be joining Eintracht Frankfurt on loan. The player arrived in Germany earlier today with the announcement expected to be made later this weekend.

- German International Jonas Hector has signed a new five-year deal with FC Cologne. Hector was linked with a £22.5m move to Liverpool this summer. After signing the new deal, Hectr said: "I'm totally happy to be part of this team and I feel here at FC simply well,"

- Juventus forward Simone Zaza is in Germany to discuss his impending move to Wolfsburg. According to Di Marzio, the transfer could be completed in next 48 hours. Zaza was also linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.

Premier League

Youri Tielmans
Belgian wonderkid Youri Tielemans may make a move to Old Trafford

- Italian outlet Calciomercato claim that Juventus have turned down Arsenal’s £14m offer for Mario Lemina. The report claims that Juve are willing to sell the defender but will consider a bid closer to the £17.5m mark.

- Southampton defender Jose Fonte has fueled the rumours his alleged move to Manchester United. In a direct quote given to Mais Fuetebol, Fonte said: “If the interest is there, it is a reason to be flattered to be associated with a club like Manchester United.

- Jose Mourinho has made personal contact with Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans regarding a potential move to Manchester United. According to Wisla Pulawy youngster Lukasz Plonowski, (Tielemans’ former teammate), Mourinho has contacted the midfielder with regards to a Premier League move.

La Liga

Paco Alcacer
Paco Alcacer scored 15 goals last season for Valencia

- Spanish outlet Marca have confirmed that Real Madrid were never interested in signing Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko. Zinedine Zidane is still considering other options to bring at Bernabeu this summer but Sissoko is not among the shortlists.

- Barcelona are close to completing the transfer Valencia striker and captain Paco Alcacer in a reported £26m deal. Mundo Deportivo are confident of Alcacer signing for the Catalan side before the start of new La Liga season. Alcacer will become the second player from Valencia to arrive at Camp Nou this season, following Andre Gomes’ £41.7million signing.

- Atletico Madrid have reportedly offered €20m for Santos forward Gabriel Barbosa, who is also linked with a move to Leicester and Juventus. Marca understand that Gabigol is keen to stay in Brazil until January to force a move to Premier League but Atletico are keen to complete a deal for the Brazilian attacker.

Prince Oniangue
Prince Oniangue’s move to Wolves is close

- Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on a move for Stade de Reims midfielder Prince Oniangue, according to reports in France. Foot Sur7 believe that Walter Zenga’s side are now leading the race to sign the 27-year-old midfielder.

- Rangers are closing in on the signing of Joe Garner from Preston North End, according to The Scottish Sun. The report claims that Nottingham Forest and Watford striker could complete his move to Rangers early next week after negotiatons have started between the clubs.
