Brendan Schaub recently expressed his disdain for the MMA community, accusing them of not stepping up to help Stephen Bonnar when the UFC legend needed help the most.

On December 22, one of the most iconic names in the UFC passed away due to presumed cardiac issues. Stephen Bonnar, known as 'The American Psycho', was instrumental in popularizing the UFC. His fight against Forrest Griffin in The Ultimate Fighter Season 1 finale is etched in history as one of the greatest MMA fights ever.

On a recent episode of The Fighter and The Kid podcast, Brendan Schaub brutally went in on the MMA community for their social media wave of tributes and sympathies for Bonnar. 'Big Brown' stated:

"He was going through it very openly on social media and posting on social media. He was clearly having some issues... How many of you that posted a picture did a single thing for him? But then when he passed away, keep that same energy... You knew the guy was in the dumps and you didn't do s**t for him."

Schaub further claimed that he reserved the right to criticize people who were absent when Bonnar needed their help, as he previously donated money to the former UFC fighter live on air for financial assistance.

Brendan Schaub recently narrated his own experience of meeting 'The American Psycho' during an audition. In the same podcast episode, 'Big Brown' emotionally recollected his encounter with Bonnar, saying:

"We had this casting, I forgot what show it was... So we're all sitting in the waiting room ready to do our thing... Then Stephen Bonnar walks in and I go, 'Bonnar,' cause, you know, UFC alumni... He goes, 'If you're doing this, I'm outta here, cause you're gonna get it.' I go, 'Woah, Dude, that's not how it goes.'"

Brendan Schaub is joined by countless others within the MMA community who have shared their personal stories about the legendary fighter.

Bonnar fought in the UFC 15 times, with his most memorable performance coming in his promotional debut against Forrest Griffin. Their three-round slugfest was hailed as arguably the most important fight in the promotion's history and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
