Veteran British striker Liam Harrison has had many memorable fights in his long martial arts career. Among them is the epic Muay Thai slugfest he had against Muangthai PK Saenchai in April 2022, which he is very proud of as it tested his resolve on his way to the victory.

The clash between the two tough fighters did not go past the opening round but was eventful in the truest sense, marked by five impressive knockdowns between them.

Harrison was dropped twice first. He was toppled initially by a solid high kick from his Thai opponent, and then moments later, he was once again nailed by a jab-cross and sent to the canvas for a second time.

But the Englishman dug deep so as not to be swamped altogether by Muangthai. He went on the offensive and landed a crisp combination to drop his opponent.

The British slugger continued to put pressure on 'Elbow Zombie', uncorking a barrage of punches that resulted in instant payoff as he connected on a hook-uppercut-hook combo to send Muangthai down once again.

Sensing he had seized the momentum and having hurt his foe, Liam Harrison went for the finish, pummeling Muangthai with telling punches to send the Thai to the mat for the third and final time and completing the come-from-behind win.

The 38-year-old Leeds native spoke about the dig-deep win in an interview with Fight Energy Films, sharing:

"I had to dig deep into some dark places that you have to go to during a fight sometimes, and that's what I did. I dug in. I went to those dark places and I pulled off quite a crazy upset."

The impressive victory earned Liam Harrison a $100,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, with the contest named the promotion's 2022 Muay Thai Fight of the Year.

Liam Harrison seeks to regain solid form in comeback fight at ONE 167

The same solid form he showed in the Muangthai fight is what Liam Harrison wants to regain in his scheduled comeback fight in June.

'Hitman' returns to action after nearly two years because of injury at ONE 167: Stamp vs. Zamboanga on June 7 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. He will go up against Japanese Katsuki Kitano in a featured bantamweight Muay Thai joust.

It will be his first match since August 2022 when he injured his knee during his title clash with former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama.

Liam Harrison is viewing his fight at ONE 167 with much significance, determined to get a win to prove to himself and fight fans that he still has it to compete at a high level at this stage of his career and after a long layoff.

ONE 167 is headlined by the ONE atomweight MMA world title fight between reigning champion Stamp Fairtex and Filipino challenger Denice Zamboanga.

It will be available live and for free in U.S. primetime on June 7 to North American fans via Amazon Prime Video,
