Keyshawn Johnson has one request of both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift as their reported relationship takes the world by storm: make it public. The former wide receiver turned NFL analyst has seen all the coverage and all the talk, but he wonders why they haven't made some sort of announcement.
He said on Undisputed:
"I just want Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to make it official. So we don't have to speculate it. I don't like talking about people's relationships without actually knowing."
The ex-Carolina Panthers wideout continued, mentioning that the relationship (whatever it is) is not affecting Kelce in any way:
"But clearly, it didn't get in the way. I tried to tell you that earlier this year, when this first was reported that he was hanging around Taylor Swift and her crew, and many people thought that it will be a distraction. It's like panning the camera as soon as he makes a catch."
In fact, the NFL came under fire for sharing stats of the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end when Swift is and is not at the game. His numbers are almost twice as good when she comes to watch, so it's not remotely a distraction.
Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift have been silent publicly
Nevertheless, the two have been silent publicly. Neither he nor his brother Jason Kelce or his mother have publicly said that Swift is his girlfriend. Swift's camp has been pretty quiet other than some reports from "sources close to the situation."
That certainly seems to be the case, and he's alluded to that. He also acknowledged someone positively when they called him "Taylor Swift's boyfriend", but the public announcement hasn't come from either party.
Keyshawn Johnson would like it to so that they can discuss the power couple without any ounce of speculation. It certainly seems like a relationship and would be shocking to hear otherwise, but the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star wants them to say as much.
