5 possible General Managers of WWE RAW

The stakes have been raised at Survivor Series, as if Team Authority wins, every member of Team Cena will be fired from the WWE. On the other hand, when Vince McMahon made a surprising return to WWE TV, he added the stipulation that if Team Cena beats Team Authority in the 5 on 5 traditional Survivor Series match, The Authority would lose its control over the company. This would mean that the power couple of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who are the on – screen COO and one of the principal owners of the company respectively would be out of jobs.It is unlikely that Team Cena will lose the match, and in hindsight, it would have been better had WWE not announced the second stipulation, which gives away the result of the bout. However, this would mean that there won’t be any authority figure in the WWE to assume power of RAW and Smackdown! In this article, we take a look at five possible replacements who could very well become the next General Manager of RAW.

#5 Booker T

Our first pick is none other than the five - time WCW World champion, and the former WWE World Heavyweight champion, Booker T. The Hall of Famer was also the former General Manager of Smackdown!, but hasn’t been doing anything worthwhile in recent months, other than running his wrestling school.

Although he would be an unlikely candidate, Booker has been there and done that. Booker also has the element of respect with the fans, who have watched him start from scratch and work his way to the top of the ladder. It will be interesting to see if WWE goes ahead with him over the rest of the four picks, but he is a deserving candidate nonetheless.

#4 Sting

The next name on our list is none other than the icon, Sting. WWE and the Stinger have been waiting for the right storyline to introduce his character to the WWE Universe for quite some time, and this can be the perfect opportunity for both parties to officially bring the Stinger to RAW. Sting is widely known to be the only big name in the history of the WWE to have never signed with, or compete under the WWE banner. In the past few months however, Sting has been leaving cryptic messages on his Twitter account, leading to rumors of him joining the WWE.

With Sting being a part of WWE 2K15, the door is now open for a potential working relationship between the WWE and Steve Borden aka Sting. With WWE trying to shake things up, and Sting almost reaching the end of his career, the time is right for both the parties to pull the trigger on Sting coming to the WWE in some capacity, and this could be the perfect platform for a potential feud between Sting, and his long rumored opponent at WrestleMania, The Undertaker.

#3 Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan might just be the most vocal supporter of himself and Hulkamania, but he has been doing a lot of media work, and in just about every interview, he has promoted himself to be ready to step inside the WWE ring once again. Hulk Hogan has been lobbying for a match with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin for nearly a decade now, and with Austin not showing any interest in the super fight, he has since turned his attention to John Cena, claiming he could beat the leader of CeNation at the grandest stage of them all.

One of the best ways to utilize Hulk Hogan would be to put him in the General Manager role on RAW, as WWE would be looking to make the most out of their legends deal with the Hulkster. Hogan has been promoting the WWE shows, and has been vocal about being an active part of the show, but since he cannot take bumps anymore, it would be wise on WWE’s part to use him in a part time role, keeping the focus on the other superstars.

#2 Maryse

Recently, the former WWE Divas champion added fuel to the fire about her return to the WWE. When Miz first started the rumors, wondering how it would be if he brought his wife back to the company, Maryse ruled it out, saying she is happier without the constant travel and hectic schedule. However, a photo of hers surfaced online, with her hair looking once again the way it used to during her time with the company.

Although it might not mean anything, WWE in the past has brought an unlikely diva in a position of power. We all have the unfortunate memory of Eve Torres managing RAW on a couple of occasions, don’t we?

#1 Mick Foley

The favorite candidate to fill the spot of the General Manager however is none other than Mick Foley. Foley has been lobbying for a GM spot on the show for a long time, and although the WWE didn’t like Mick being so open about a few things in the past, he has always been a supporter of the show and the superstars, and with WWE recently bringing Mick to the show to confront Dean Ambrose, it once again started the rumor mill about Foley returning to the company.

One can also argue that there won’t be a better name to take up the role of the General Manager of RAW and Smackdown!, and it will be interesting to see if WWE goes ahead with Mick. But for that to happen, Team Authority must lose to Team Cena come Survivor Series, which will roll out of Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri this Sunday.
