The 24-year-old Richardson picked up his first five-wicket haul as he ran through the Indian tailBrilliant centuries from Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan went in vain for India as India fell short of the mammoth total of 349 that Australia set. In all four ODIs, India has had at least one player who scored a century. However, none of the centuries mattered much as India trail the five-match series 4-0.After being at 277/1 at one stage, to be bowled out within just 46 runs takes some doing. But, that is exactly what India did. Although, it has to be noted that Ajinkya Rahane's injury did not help India's cause as it significantly weakened India's batting lineup.Having said that, India did have quality players in the squad who could have carried the team across the finishing line after such a great start to the chase. Newcomers, Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Rishi Dhawan failed to take the opportunity to perform well and make their name in the international circuit. Here are the best images from the India-Australia 4th ODI:

#1 Finally, India got to chase

After India batted first in the first three ODIs, the visitors finally got a chance to chase down the target after Steven Smith elected to bat first on a flat track. During the Indian innings, it seemed like the batsmen were more comfortable with a target set in front of them and paced their innings well, until the collapse.

#2 Deadly duo

David Warner Aaron Finch India Australia ODI 2016

Australian openers, Aaron Finch and David Warner were on song as they dominated the first 30 overs and piled on more than six an over to set the home side up for a huge total. Although Warner missed out on his century, Finch went on to score a well-deserved century.

#3 Finch hit the Indians all over the ground

Aaron Finch India Australia ODI 2016

Aaron Finch's seventh ODI century set the right platform for the Australians to reach a total of 348 in 50 overs. This was the 29-year-old's first century in nearly a year and it surely meant a lot to the batsman.

#4 Atypical Smith

Steven Smith India Australia ODI 2016

It does not matter at what stage Steven Smith comes to the crease, against India, as he played in a manner that he usually does not and still dominated the bowlers. Right from the word go, the Australian captain took on the Indian bowlers in his knock of 51 off just 29 balls.

#5 Why the long face?

The Indian vice-captain's facial expression said it all as the Indian bowlers failed to put in a satisfactory performance, yet again. Of the four pace bowlers, only Rishi Dhawan had an economy of under six an over. The death bowling was appalling as the bowlers conceded 111 runs in the last ten overs.

#6 Down and out, well, almost

Virat Kohli Shikhar Dhawan ODI 2016 Ind Aus

If the Indian bowlers were terrible in the last part of their bowling innings, the Australians failed to make an early impact as the Indian top-order smashed them all around the park. Virat Kohli's and Shikhar Dhawan's 212-run partnership almost gave India their first victory in the series, until India gave it away.

#7 A look to the heavens, just like his idol

Virat Kohli ODI India Australia 2016

Virat Kohli's celebration after scoring his 25th ODI century was one reminiscent of his cricketing idol, Sachin Tendulkar – looking up to the heavens. What made this century more special was that it made Kohli the fastest to 25 centuries in ODIs, beating his idol's record – Kohli took only 162 innings while Sachin took 234 innings.

#8 Who\'s to blame?

MS Dhoni India Australia ODI 2016

After being 277/1 at one point of time, India looked set to canter along a famous victory. However, John Hastings initiated a collapse that would shock Indian cricket fans. MS Dhoni, who is known for his finishing, failed to provide any impetus and fell for a duck, leaving his side in a spot of major worry.

#9 Ouch!

Mitchell Marsh India Australia 2016 ODI

Mitchell Marsh, while running in to bowl the 48th over, pulled up on his delivery stride. What seemed like a hamstring pull at first, turned out to be just cramps as the bowler braved on and continued bowling. Marsh went on to pick up his first wicket of the match in the same over.

#10 How narrow is the road ahead for Dhoni?

MS Dhoni India ODI 2016

MS Dhoni's role in the team will come under a lot of scrutiny following the disappointing showing of the captain in the fourth ODI. It remains to be seen how long he will stick around or whether this series loss will be the last straw for the Indian management?
