#1 Jose Mourinho confirms Cesc Fabregas interest

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the club is interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The former Arsenal skipper, who returned to the Catalan club three years ago, is expected to leave Barcelona with the Premier League his most likely destination.

Fabregas was subject of two failed bids from Manchester United last summer but the Reds Devils have ruled themselves out of the chase for the Spaniard. Arsenal have also made it clear they have no intention of re-signing Fabregas, leaving Chelsea as firm favorites to bring the 27-year-old back to the Premier League.

Mourinho said: “We have some (interest in Fabregas). I have interest in analysing the situation.“There is a process where he wants to leave, he wants to come to England because it’s the country where he wants to be and where he prefers to play. We are interested in monitoring the situation.”

#2 Eliaquim Mangala prefers move to Manchester United over Manchester City

Porto centre back Eliaquim Mangala has claimed that he would prefer a move to Manchester United over Manchester City. However, Red Devils’ boss Louis van Gaal is not fully convinced about the 23-year-old because of his temperament.

The highly rated Frenchman is said to be a top transfer target for this season’s Premier League champions as Manuel Pellegrini wants to partner Mangala alongside club skipper Vincent Kompany from next season. But the Porto star would prefer a move to Manchester United or Chelsea over Manchester City.

Chelsea are confident of completing a £50million deal for Atletico Madrid trio Tiago, full back Filipe Luis and striker Diego Costa by early next week. Costa has already undergone a medical after agreeing a £160,000-a-week deal to join the Blues next season.

Filipe Luis is expected to fly to London this weekend to hold talks regarding a £16 million switch and potentially completing his medical. The 28-year-old will reportedly pen a £100,000-a-week contract. Diego Costa and Luis were star performers for Atletico Madrid in their most successful season in years – winning the La Liga title and reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea also hope to sign Atletico Madrid’s veteran midfielder Tiago on a free transfer this summer. The Portuguese played for the Blues during the 2004-05 season.

The 21-year-old was also linked with a move to fellow Premier League club Tottenham, who reportedly offered striker Roberto Soldado on loan to Sevilla in a bid to lure the young full back to the White Hart Lane. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his defensive options after missing out on the League title due to a shaky back four.

The Anfield club have already completed the signing of Southampton striker Rickie Lambert for a bargain £4 million and according to reports, also Bayern Leverkusen’s versatile midfielder Emre Can for £9.75 million.

#5 Manchester United consider Bastian Schweinsteiger move

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. Several reports in Germany have claimed that Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is willing to cash in on the 29-year-old this summer.
