Right from his NXT days, Barrett was considered as a great asset in the company who was going to make it big in the future. The Nexus run and the upper midcard push that he had also suggested the same.However, Barrett went through a rough patch later which saw him being confined behind the podium delivering bad news. The WrestleMania ended that curse as after that Barrett managed to find his feet inside the ring.He has been unbeaten ever since and is one an intercontinental title reign which has received a great reaction from the WWE Universe. It is also reported that the company is high on Barrett that makes it likely that he will get a good push till SummerSlam.

#7 Win against Rob Van Dam at Payback

Rob Van Dam earned a shot at the Intercontinental title by winning the beat the clock challenge and since both superstars have some unfinished business, the match is sure to be an entertaining affair for everyone.

However, it wouldn’t enough to take the title away from Barrett. Instead it should only serve as a momentum builder for Barrett who is already on top at the moment.

Van Dam could put Barrett over without much hesitation and the match could end with Van Dam shaking hands with Barrett as a sign of appreciation.

#6 Whos next?

Now that Barrett has taken care of Van Dam, he will be looking for a new challenge for his title. WWE wouldn’t have anything in place for determining the No.1 contender and Barrett could give out an open challenge.

The Celtic Warrior could come out and accept the challenge to kick off a champion vs. Champion feud. As Sheamus answered the challenge, Barrett could also force Sheamus to put his title on the line making it a winner takes it all match.

It is going to be the title unification match that the fans have been waiting for a long time and it is sure to be a big match for Money in the bank match.

#5 Title unification match at Money in the Bank

Both Sheamus and Barrett are two decorated brawlers and they could simply put up a great match for the fans.

With both titles at stakes, the emotions would be on an all-time high as well. After a well worked match between the two, Barrett could walk out as the clean winner much to the misery of Sheamus.

A taunted Sheamus could then attack Barrett after the match which would be the heel turn of the Celtic warrior while Barrett will be projected as a face in front of the fans who already like him to the core for what he does in the ring.

#4 I want my rematch

After a successful heel turn, Sheamus could come out and demand the rematch that was in his contract before the match at Money in the Bank.

And when Barrett comes out and accepts that challenge, Sheamus can add the extra stipulation to the match and make it a European street fight just to make sure that it will be on his backyard.

Barrett could accept that as well making it a street fight for the unified title at Battleground pay-per-view. The two could cut some interesting promos against eachother throughout the buildup to keep the heat up among the fans.

With the anything goes stipulations intact, Sheamus and Barrett could start out the match on a violent note and let everyone know what two brawlers can do in such situations.

But as the match progresses and Barrett is near winning the match, Triple H and Randy Orton could come out and knock him out to help Sheamus win the match.

After Sheamus wins, Hunter could cut a promo saying that Sheamus is the new member of Evolution who has been recruited to fill the void left by Batista. The fans will be backing Barrett more after the Screwjob making him a better face.

#2 You cant get your hands on the title that easily

Barrett will be fuming after being screwed over by Evolution and he will be out demanding justice next night. Shield could come to the aid of Barrett and challenge Evolution to come out and answer Barrett’s call.

Hunter could come out and say that Barrett is not going to get his title back easily and book a triple threat match between Randy Orton, Sheamus and Barrett at SummerSlam for the title while Hunter will be facing Roman Reigns.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose could be booked against the Ascension who Triple H would recruit in order to take out the Shield.

#1 Triple threat match for the title at Summerslam

Orton and Sheamus will be looking to make the title stay in Evolution and do whatever they can to avoid Barrett getting the title.

Since the odds are stacked against Barrett, the fans would be rooting for him. At some points of the match, Orton and Sheamus could have friction between the two to decide who will get the title once Barrett is taken care off.

And Barrett could take advantage of this friction and get upper hand over the duo. Finally with the help of Shield, Barrett could lay out Orton and Sheamus to win the title and give the fans what they want. After the match, Barrett could continue feuding with the authority as well.
