Dallas Cowboys v Green Bay Packers
Dallas Cowboys v Indianapolis Colts SNF

The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday Night Football. Dallas has won two huge games in a row, previously beating their NFC East rivals, the Giants, 28-20 to improve to 8-3. For the Colts, they've dropped two consecutive, and they now sit at 4-7-1, and their playoff chances are pretty much nonexistent.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Dallas Cowboys Key Stats

The Colts, statistically, have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Interestingly enough, they have one of the best running backs around in Jonathan Taylor, but he's missed a few games this year, which hasn't helped. Taylor has been solid since returning from injury though, but against this Dallas defense, Taylor and the Colts might have difficulties. Dallas allows the fewest number of passing yards per game, and they give up the second-fewest points per contest at just 17. Matt Ryan, Indianapolis' QB, was replaced for a bit, but he's back under center now with Sam Ehlinger hurt. The veteran Ryan has had a rough season, and facing the Cowboys' #1 ranked defense could spell disaster.

Dallas has been rolling, recently beating the Giants and the Vikings. They obliterated Minnesota on the road 40-3, and their confidence is extremely high right now. QB Dak Prescott has been reliable, but the rushing game has been great for the hosts. Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott have had very good seasons, especially Pollard, who is in the midst of a career year. CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys' wideout, has been excellent again this season, which isn't surprising, and all of these weapons together should put a lot of pressure on the Colts' average defense.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting Prediction

As good as the Cowboys have looked, a 10.5-point spread isn't easy to cover, even at home against a four-win team. Last week Dallas was favored by the same amount and failed to cover, and the Colts have been resilient on the road, at least when it comes to covering. Indy has covered each of their past five road games versus teams with winning home records, so expect them to keep the game close enough here. Also, with how dominant Dallas' defense can be, expect the total to go under, as we've seen time and time again on primetime.

Prediction: Colts +10.5 (-110) & Under 44.5 (-110)
