Novak Djokovic will begin his quest for a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title at the 2023 French Open in an all-new kit. The Serb has decided to move on from the bright red color that he sported at Roland Garros the previous few years.

For the upcoming Major in Paris, Lacoste has chosen peach for Djokovic. There are a couple of variations — peach pink and peach orange — for the matches during the day and the night, both paired with navy blue shorts.

Lacoste, the French sports equipment and clothing giant, roped in Novak Djokovic as its brand ambassador in 2017. In 2021, the on-court apparel sponsorship was extended till 2025.

With 14-time champion Rafael Nadal out of the race due to an injury, Djokovic is now the top contender to win the 2023 French Open along with Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune and Daniil Medvedev.

The 36-year-old defeated Nadal at Roland Garros for the first time in the 2015 quarter-finals. However, Stan Wawrinka beat him in the summit clash.

In 2016, an injury forced Nadal to withdraw after the second round and Djokovic defeated Andy Murray in the final to lift his maiden crown in Paris.

He downed the Spaniard again in the 2021 semi-finals, and went on to collect his second title.

Currently, both Djokovic and Nadal are tied at 22 Grand Slam titles each. The 2023 French Open will be the first opportunity for the new World No. 3 to become the first man to win 23 Majors.

Holger Rune lost to Daniil Medvedev in the final of the 2023 Italian Open on Sunday, May 21. However, earlier in the tournament, the Danish youngster beat Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals.

In a press conference after the final, Rune picked the Serb as the favorite to win the upcoming French Open, followed by Carlos Alcaraz and Medvedev.

"I still think Novak is the main favorite for the event," Rune said. "He's the one with the most slams of who's playing, the most experience. Then we have Alcaraz. We have Medvedev. We have a lot of guys. I think if I have to pick one favorite, I'll probably pick Novak."
"But again, it's more open because we don't have Rafa this year who has won 14 times or something like this," he added. "For sure [Medvedev] has been showing good signs in this clay season, playing better and better. Yeah, for sure, I mean, I think he's one of the favorites."

Djokovic has an 85-16 win-loss record at the French Open, with a win percentage of 84 percent.
