WrestleMania is one of the most exciting pay-per-views of the year as several legends make their presence felt at the Grandest Stage. The Undertaker has been a marquee attraction of the Show of Shows. The Phenom had an undefeated streak of 21 wins at WrestleMania which was broken by the Beast Brock Lesnar. Taker has won 2 matches and lost 1 match in the last 3 years at WrestleMania. He overcame Vince McMahon's son Shane McMahon in a Hell in A Cell match at WM 32 and squashed John Cena at WM 34 while he suffered a loss to the Big Dog Roman Reigns at WM 33.

The Undertaker has taken part in 4 matches in 2018, winning 2 matches and losing 2. He won his WrestleMania match against John Cena and defeated Rusev in a casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV. Triple H defeated him at WWE Super Show Down, while he teamed up with Shawn Michaels to defeat the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel. After battling in multiple matches this year, the Undertaker will most likely step foot in the ring next at WrestleMania 35. Here are the 2 superstars who should be his opponent at WrestleMania 35 and 2 who should not:

#1 Should Be - Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho vs The Undertaker is a match that the WWE Universe has never witnessed at the Grandest Stage. The two G.O.A.T.S of the WWE could face off at WM 35 with Jericho finally making his return to the company. He last appeared at the RAW 25 episode and has been a part of other promotions. Jericho and the Undertaker can have one of the greatest WrestleMania feuds of all time and it would not matter if they do not have one of the most technical in-ring matches.

Y2J could return at the Royal Rumble PPV and after failing to win can call out the Undertaker for a match much as Cena did in 2018. However, WWE should book the Undertaker to appear on RAW episodes to build this thing.

#1 Should Not Be - Braun Strowman

It would be better if Stowman and The Undertaker are kept away from each other
It would be better if Stowman and The Undertaker are kept away from each other

WWE teased a feud between Braun Strowman and the Undertaker but did not materialize it. The key reason not to have Strowman as Taker's opponent is to give the Monster a better WrestleMania match ( since he has received the worst booking at WM) and second, it may hurt the Deadman very badly. The Undertaker is well past his prime and even battling a giant like Strowman will pressurize his body muscles. He should not take nasty bumps not even in the last match of his career and matching him with someone like Strowman guarantees some hardcore spots.

Perhaps, booking Braun Strowman in a Universal Championship match or a match against Bobby Lashley would help him work the match freely as he might have to lower the damage levels if set a match against the Phenom.

#2 Should Be - John Cena

The WrestleMania rematch the WWE Universe deserves
The WrestleMania rematch the WWE Universe deserves

Two men who have been the cornerstones of the WWE for decades can be set for a final match with a retirement stipulation attached. They had a match at WM 34 but the WWE Universe was left wanting more from both the legends. John Cena tried his best to call out the then retired Deadman but he did not respond until WrestleMania. The Undertaker squashed the 16-time World Champion like a jobber at the Grandest Stage.

Cena has been focusing on his projects outside the WWE for a while and has been teasing retirement from the ring. A retirement match between the two would be the most unpredictable match of the Modern Era as it would be very hard to pick a winner. This match has the potential to bring an end of an era in the WWE and must be considered to main event WM 35.

#2 Should Not Be - Shawn Michaels

This rivalry does not need the third chapter
This rivalry does not need the third chapter

Well, as things are working out it seems that the Heart Break Kid will be the Undertaker's WM opponent as his involvement has led to the Deadman losing two straight PPV matches. The two already have had 2 brilliant matches at WrestleMania and Shawn's retirement was the perfect end to this feud. However, WWE has reignited this rivalry and even brought Michaels out of retirement.

This would ultimately lead us to a match between HBK and Taker possibly having a retirement stipulation with The Undertaker losing this time to bid a farewell to the ring in a fitting way. HBK could also return to retirement and hang his boots once and for all. But this would destroy the feelings of the fans as at the first place there was no need to have Micheals lace his boots up once again. And to have him in a WrestleMania match against the Undertaker would surely give a worse ending to the rivalry which ended at WM 26, 9 years ago. Though Michaels showed shades of his prime, Undertaker is finding it hard to put on long matches and so, this match should be ignored for WM 35.
