The TLC PPV afforded a plethora of exciting moments. The RAW brand lost a General Manager, but gained a new Intercontinental Champion.

Whereas, Becky Lynch was defeated by Asuka, thus losing her SmackDown women's championship. Ultimately the end of 2018 has formed the basis for 2019.

This week's episode of RAW (December 17) introduced positivism for the future of WWE brands.

The entire McMahon family entered the ring and made exciting changes, and fans witnessed the removal of Baron Corbin as management.

Moreover, a multitude of vignettes aired for upcoming and returning wrestlers. There was a plethora of NXT talent including; EC3, Lacey Evans, Lars Sullivan, and Heavy Machinery.

The decisions made on Raw this week drastically altered WWE, and fans were ecstatic (watch the video below).

Moreover, the new direction has afforded much-needed entertainment value. The past few months have been lacklustre on both brands. So, how will the future play out? Lets explore some options.

#3 The Raw Women's division

Who can dethrone Ronda Rousey?

At WWE Evolution, fans witnessed the first-ever all women's PPV. It set the stage for the future of women's wrestling in the professional wrestling industry.

However, fans have yet witnessed a main event women's WrestleMania match. Nevertheless, this prospect seems likely. Especially considering RAW & SmackDown, and how they utilise their women's divisions.

On December 17, Ronda Rousey issued an Open Challenge for the Raw women's championship.

However, this caused chaos on the women's roster. Therefore, Stephanie McMahon ordered a gauntlet match, with the winner facing Rousey (watch the video below). The winner was Natalya.

The prospect of women's wrestling is refreshing, and with changes on Raw recently, the future looks bright. Names like; Asuka, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch will be the pinnacle of the division.

Therefore, what could we expect in the future? Who could dethrone Asuka and Rousey?

#2 Alexa Bliss as the new General Manager

In 2013, Alexa Bliss debuted for the NXT brand. She would perform there until 2016, and it was in 2016 Bliss made her debut on SmackDown Live.

She would progress to defeat Becky Lynch at TLC 2016 to become the SmackDown women's champion. Before joining Raw in 2017, Bliss would capture the championship one more time.

On 10 April 2017, Bliss debuted on Raw, and within months Bliss had earned an opportunity to challenge Bayley (then Raw women's champion).

At Payback 2017, Bliss would defeat Bayley to become champion. At present Bliss is a former 3-time Raw women's champion. Bliss has been highly successful in the last few years.

Before WWE Evolution, Bliss was injured, preventing her from competing. Around this time, Bliss progressed to become Raw women's team captain during Survivor Series.

On the following night's episode of Raw, Baron Corbin elected Bliss into an authoritative position, as head of the women's division (watch the video below).

Following this week's episode of RAW (December 17), Baron Corbin is no longer General Manager. Therefore, an opportunity has arisen. Could Bliss become General Manager? Just imagine the interaction between Paige and Bliss at PPV events.

#1 Becky Lynch debuts on Raw

Lynch has been an excellent champion

Becky Lynch has been excellent entertainment for fans recently. Moreover, she has almost single-handedly changed women's wrestling, due to her character alteration. However, we have yet seen Lynch's full potential.

At TLC 2018; Asuka, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch battled for the women's championship. This match could arguably be the best of the night (watch the video below). However, Lynch's backstage actions were just as intense, as she would confront Nia Jax and attack her. What does this mean?

Originally, Ronda Rousey was supposed to face Lynch at Survivor Series. However, Lynch received an injury which prevented her from competing. Nevertheless, Lynch and Rousey certainly stirred drama.

Therefore, fans were left wondering about the future. Last night's episode of Raw (December 17) afforded multiple changes to the women's division. Next week Natalya will challenge Ronda Rousey for the Raw women's championship.

Will Lynch debut on the Raw brand? Considering the heat between Charlotte and new champion, Asuka, it's likely.
