Dean Ambrose has been one of the greatest entertainers of WWE in the recent years. With his insane attitude that knows no fear or bounds he has captured the hearts of a lot of WWE fans. For a long time now, Dean Ambrose has been the fan-favourite and will remain so for a long time in future with his off-the-mill character.
Recently, thanks to Shane McMahon, he became the latest talk show host of WWE. His Ambrose Asylum has been up and running for two weeks in row now, and both the editions of Ambrose Asylum has brought some laughter and fun into WWE. Both “What’s up with the scarf, dude?” and "HEY!! Be CAREFUL around the PLANT!" has been making rounds in the social media.
In this list, lets look at five of the most hilarious moments he has been involved in.
Honourable Mention: Ambrose puts Miz in his place
Miz TV frequently ends with The Miz getting a beat down from his guests and this one was no exception to that rule. But, it makes our list for what happened after the beat down on the list.
Anyone who says Ambrose doesn’t know how to respect fellow wrestlers might be detracted here with the respect he shows for The Miz after beating him up. And I am sure The Miz will also agree that a talk show should not end with its host lying down unconscious.
The chatter between the duo before the beat down was also pretty funny though.
#5 “What!? It’s for Charity”
Seth Rollins’ feud with Dean Ambrose is one of the best feuds WWE has produced in the PG Era. This feud is responsible for most of the hilarious moments we have witnessed at the hands of Dean Ambrose. And one of those moments is this.
Doing something for charity is commendable, even inspirational, and I am sure lot of us will find this kind of charitable endeavors to be inspirational. The Lunatic Fringe just couldn’t resist pouring a bucket full of ice water on his brother Seth Rollins and when a shocked Rollins turned to confront the person, we get “What!? It’s for Charity.”
I am sure everyone wants to do that to their enemies.
#4 Strategy Planning
Handicap matches never end well for the team babyface team usually, especially right before PPVs. But, Ambrose plans a great strategy to get him and John Cena to Hell in a Cell without much fuss.
The funniest part in this is that the way preparation rituals Ambrose involves is are as bizarre as his mindset. The alluding of their team to Superman and Batman duo just makes it even better. But the end is even better.
But, John Cena may be right in his assumption though.
#3 Let’s do it cowboy style
If you think this list can’t get more bizarre, think again. Dean Ambrose idea of attacking a trio that has held World Championship is very very creative and applaudable. Dean Ambrose is a man who loves theatrics, and what can be better than being a cowboy.
Only, this cowboy is different. Instead of pistols in the holsters, this cowboy has ketch-up and mustard in them. Instead of riding a horse, this cowboy drags a hot-dog cart and it is not good for anyone when the umbrella goes up.
And I never imagined a tong being used that way. I am sure no one wants to be in Seth Rollins’ place.
#2 I didn’t do it
Seth Rollins have been the unfortunate victim of a lot of antics from Dean Ambrose. But, none can top this one. Seth Rollins had all the right to snap and throw a tantrum. It was hilarious to watch, though.
During their feud, Dean Ambrose stole the MITB briefcase that belonged to Seth Rollins to get into the mind of his nemesis. And after a long cat and mouse chase, Seth Rollins finally cornered Dean in the ring on Raw on September 29.
Dean Ambrose accepted that he has been cornered and handed over the briefcase in a peaceful manner which belied his personality. And everyone’s suspicion came true when it was revealed that Ambrose’s timid behavior was a ploy to lure in Seth Rollins into a messy prank.
Boy! Oh Boy! I loved that one.
#1 Hoooooooooooo!
With Ambrose’s antics beginning to get more bizarre and bizarre, he was soon nicknamed Lunatic Fringe and even Dean “Unstable” Ambrose. Inevitably, Ambrose’s mental sanity came into question on one week on Raw and he was sent for psychological evaluation by Stephanie McMahon.
On one of the most memorable moments of Raw in past years, Dean Ambrose was asked to tell a word that came to mind when he looks at a picture. The answers he gave made people chuckle and even laugh their butts off.
The best thing about his segment was, it felt as if we were transported back to twenty years earlier and witnessing a segment from Attitude Era. WWE has failed to produce such segments with any other current superstars and that is the one thing that sets Dean apart from everyone and make him a fan-favourite.
