#2 He’s a natural heel
Yes, when the Viper strikes, we all know it. While fans love Orton in any role he plays in the company, his persona is more realistic as a heel. There is something about the man, who hears voices in his head, when he comes out and inflicts pain on opponents, instead of taking in the cheers of the fans.
From early on in his career, his greatest successes were on the side of evil. His role in The Authority proved he was solid as the ringleader of ‘heeldom’. All this does is put Orton in the place he needs to be.
