Winning multiple championships in WWE is a rare feat. An even rarer feat is becoming a Grand Slam Champion. Not many superstars have had the chance to achieve this. Today, to be declared a Grand Slam Champion, a wrestler must have held a World Title (WWE Title or Universal Title), the United States Title, the Intercontinental Title, as well as a Tag Team Title (SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles or Raw Tag Team Titles).

There are a few superstars who are not that far away from achieving the triumph of becoming a Grand Slam Champion, joining the list of many elite wrestlers like Edge, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero among others. Here are five such superstars.

#5 Zack Ryder

The Long Island Iced-Z
The Long Island Iced-Z

Zack Ryder's career has been full of ups and downs. He has been with WWE for over 12 years now and has become quite a likable character with the WWE Universe. A tag-team specialist, he has one Tag Team Championship reign to his name alongside Curt Hawkins. He has also won the United States and the Intercontinental Championships.

Ryder has never won the WWE Championship. Once a hugely over star with the fans, Ryder's career has since come down crashing as his ongoing run is nothing short of a nightmare. With his current status as a jobber and not even a mid-carder, it dubious for him to win the acclaimed title anytime soon.

#4 Kofi Kingston

The Jamaican Sensation
The former Jamaican Sensation

Kofi Kingston is a 10-year veteran of WWE. One of the most likable stars, Kofi enjoys a huge fan following. Known for his high-flying action and innovative saves from Royal Rumble eliminations, he has surely made a name for himself as a favorite of the WWE Universe. He has won the Intercontinental, the United States and Tag Team Championships before.

The only piece left in his cabinet is the prestigious WWE Championship. With the recent influx of new talent, Kofi has been descended to mid-card and is unlikely to get his hands on the title. But with age on his side, maybe WWE can push him as a singles competitor one more time, so that he can be a part of the main-event program and win the title that has eluded him.

#3 Seth Rollins

The Kingslayer
The Kingslayer

Seth Rollins has become a huge name in WWE in a short span of time. As a part of arguably the greatest stable of all time, The Shield, Rollins won the Tag Team championship twice. He has also won the WWE and the United States Championships. With victories over the likes of Roman Reigns, Triple H, and John Cena among others, Rollins has become one of the most widely popular wrestlers on the planet.

Rollins has never won the Intercontinental Championship, but with his current feud against the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, the wait doesn't seem too long. A title match between Rollins and The Miz is highly anticipated at WrestleMania 34 and 'The Architect' would love to become a Grand Slam Champion at the "show of shows".

#2 Randy Orton

The Viper
The Viper has never won the US Title

Randy Orton has been one of the most consistent performers in WWE for over 15 years now. In 2004, the 'Apex Predator' became the youngest World Champion in WWE history at the age of 24. With 13 world titles to his name, only John Cena, Triple H, and Ric Flair have a better record than him. Orton has surely done more than enough to be guaranteed a spot on the Hall of Fame in the future.

Orton just needs the US Title to become a Grand Slam Champion. His feud with the current title holder, Bobby Roode has already begun and the fans would love to see The Viper complete his grand slam at the 'grandest stage of them all' this year.

#1 John Cena

The Cenation Leader
The IC Title has so far eluded Cena

Who doesn't know John Cena? He has been the face of WWE for over a decade and has won various championships during his tenure with the company. The only thing left for him to achieve in his picture-perfect career is winning the Intercontinental Championship, which has eluded him for a very long time now.

There are no current plans for Cena to go after the IC title. The current champion, The Miz, is having one of his best runs with the title and Cena getting into the picture is highly unlikely for now. But WWE would not want The Franchise to retire without having won the IC Title. After all, not many wrestlers can boast of a stellar career like John Cena.

An unexpected name just challenged Randy Orton RIGHT HERE.
