Batista reveals original WWE gimmick idea which was scrapped

Dave Batista, fresh from his role as Drax the Destroyer, was recently a guest on Chris Jericho’s “Talk is Jericho,”.During the interview Batista talked about his WWE debut.

Batista revealed a shocking gimmick idea which was never implemented.

In his early WWE days, Batista’s character was always angry, and according to the gimmick the reason behind it was supposed to be the revelation that he was a “rape child.”

Having no knowledge of his father and his mother being raped was the supposed reason for his anger.

Thankfully his gimmick in the end turned out to be Deacon Batista, a villainous enforcer for Reverend D-Von
