Monday Night RAW: Looking forward

SummerSlam made me eagerly wait for what followed on Monday Night RAW. And with the Corporation’s renaissance, the upcoming edition of RAW seems to be a must watch as well.

Though story lines headed towards Night of Champions might get a bit sluggish in the middle, it is still intriguing to look out for the new alliances which are to be inevitably formed. There will be an anti-Corporation as well, with Daniel Bryan at the helm. But for now, let’s see how the story unfolds.

Brock Lesnar, is undoubtedly, gone for now. A feud with Axel for CM Punk does not seem like a mind-blowing, earth-shattering option. But what seems interesting is the rumour that Paul Heyman’s stable might see an addition. In a recent NXT tout, he was seen endorsing an idea of having a new member, and that member might just be a girl. As soon as that went on air, speculations were rife that Paige is finally on her way to the main roster. This might just turn out to be true, as WWE removed the tout sometime later and Paige recently celebrated her 21st birthday.

Given that WWE sometimes removes some of its anticipated storyline ingredients to ignite more anticipation, like the removal of the Stone Cold-CM Punk interview with Jim Ross, this can be safe to say that Paige is getting closer to an upgrade. And as her age was an issue, turning 21 might have finally turned Paige’s fortune around. Here’s hoping that she plays a valid role in keeping the fire burning between Paul Heyman and CM Punk.

I always thought that Paige will be a great addition to the Shield given their dark attires, her popularity in NXT and the frenzy around Rollins and Ambrose. But as Reigns once said, when asked about an addition to the stable, “They can’t beat three”, there is no hurry for a fourth member yet.

I hope Paul Heyman has a role to play in the Corporation as well. He is one of the best heels on the roster and will provide a legitimate dramatic effect to the corporate picture. I hope all stars align and this storyline gives us the best out of every character and introduces many new characters. Let’s hope the John Cena absence is actually a much awaited and legitimate blessing in disguise and so, celebrate the new main-event picture.

Last but far from least, the Shield seems to be heading into what might be their most defining, pivotal storyline involvement since their arrival to the RAW scene. Ambrose might face Ziggler, which has the potential to turn out to be absolutely great (on a funny side, Leo and Sagittarians have great chemistry. So astrologically, they might turn out to have great in-ring chemistry). Mark Henry and Big Show, once enemies and now potentially a tag team, might face off against Rollins and Reigns.

Whatever happens, tonight’s RAW has the potential to brew a potpourri of new possibilities.

An unexpected name just challenged Randy Orton RIGHT HERE.
