The first episode of Raw in 2017 will be held on 2nd January at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
According to the event details mentioned on the official website of the arena, legendary superstar Goldberg is scheduled to make an appearance on the night alongside other prominent members of the Raw roster.
His previous outing on the red brand’s show was two weeks ago on 21 November, where ‘The Myth’ announced that he would be a part of the Royal Rumble match at the eponymous pay-per-view’s 2017 edition.
However, there is no update on the official website of the WWE about Goldberg’s involvement in the opening Raw of next year, yet.
In fact, the page for the event on WWE.com only advertises the presence of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho among Raw’s male superstars. But with the beginning of the new year likely to start the countdown to the Royal Rumble on 29 January, we may well see the WCW icon in action at the Amalie Arena.

To say that Goldberg has made a successful return to the WWE after 12 years would be an understatement. Not only did he accept Brock Lesnar’s challenge to a match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, but he also inflicted a crushing defeat on the ‘Beast Incarnate’ in less than 2 minutes on the night.
His decision to participate in the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match, though, clearly shows that ‘The Myth’ is not done yet and wants more on his plate. Things have spiced up even further since Paul Heyman responded by confirming Lesnar’s presence in the match, too.
Although this may hurt Goldberg’s chances of winning the Royal Rumble and thus, the opportunity to compete in a title match at Wrestlemania 33, it is likely to set up a rematch between the two iconic wrestlers at WWE’s premier annual event.
