Earlier in the month of June, we had reported that Batista had taken a small break from the WWE in order to promote Marvel’s upcoming superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
Dave, who plays the role of Drax The Destroyer, has been spotted at several venues promoting the movie which is due to be released on August 1, 2014. WWE used a segment on the post- Extreme Rules episode of Raw where he waved goodbye to the fans after he quit on Triple H and his plans claiming to be unhappy for being deprived of a shot at the WWE titles.
Following his departure, it was believed that Batista would be returning to action as early as SummerSlam. But new rumours suggest that The Animal won’t be appearing at the pay-per-view on August 17, but he will be returning on the next WWE specials, Night Of Champions.
Night of Champions PPV will be heavily pushed on the WWE Network as the first batch of subscription ends before the event. WWE will be looking to get their users re-subscribed for the next six months.
