Last week, Triple H shocked the WWE Universe when he unexpectedly appeared for the first time since Wrestlemania 32, and not just that, but pedigreed his former apprentice Seth Rollins, thus aligning with Kevin Owens.
When he walked past Raw General Manager Mick Foley and Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, the two faces told their own story – Foley was furious, while Stephanie looked on in utter shock and disbelief.The look on Stephanie’s face proved one thing: The Authority storyline truly did conclude at Wrestlemania 32. It is going to be extremely interesting to see the direction they go from here. Perhaps the Triple H-Owens alignment could be less Authority-like and more like the Two Man Power Trip.
One of the best parts of the finish on Raw was that everyone simply cannot wait to tune in to next week’s episode of Raw, and see what the follow up to the finish that has created many possible storylines. One of the things people are looking forward to is The Game and him explaining his actions, and his confrontation with Seth Rollins. However, it was reported that Triple H is not advertised for this Monday’s Raw. However, don’t be discouraged. The King Of Kings is still expected to appear in some capacity. So the alignment with Kevin Owens, and the confrontation with the newly turned Rollins may still very well happen.
However, even if it doesn’t, you can still expect The Cerebral Assasin to appear once in a while on WWE television, as it is being said that this is all building up to a Triple H vs Seth Rollins match at Wrestlemania 33.
The bout was expected to take place at Wrestlemania 32 this year, but naturally couldn’t, after Seth Rollins’ devastating knee injury.It is not known as of now what the plans are for Kevin Owens title reign. It is possible that he will be holding it for much longer, and perhaps could even be the WWE Universal Champion heading into Wrestlemania 33. Thinking of Owens as champion at Wrestlemania, the very first name that springs to mind for a match is Sami Zayn.
However, that is unlikely, since Zayn’s build up is very likely going to be slow and organic, as it should be. Perhaps even a returning Finn Balor(if he returns) could come to reclaim the title that he never lost.
