Triple H on NXT

– Triple H who has successfully handled NXT is being praised by the wrestling fans for running it very different from the main product. ‘The Game’ Triple H spoke to WWE Network in a conference call after the WWE NXT Takeover, Respect. He spoke about various superstars and topics such as Apollo Crews, NXT’s success, Vince McMahon’s opinion on NXT and also spoke in-depth about the Women’s Division.

The NXT Women’s Division has seen a lot of excellent wrestlers such as Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and the current WWE Divas champion Charlotte along with many others. The NXT Takeover: Respect featured a first time ever main event which consisted of an Iron Man match between Bayley and Sasha Banks. He said that the match was one of the greatest matches he has ever seen and assured that there will be more.

He thanked Sara Del Ray and Natalya for their help with Sasha and Bayley and praised them. He also said that he is extremely hyped up for Asuka’s debut on NXT and praised her for the immense charisma that she brings into the ring. He also encouraged the fact there should be more of these Iron Man matches along with Steel cage matches and others for the Women’s Division. Triple H revealed that Lita suggested him that the name should remain Iron Man and not Iron Woman as it may be demeaning to the ladies.

Vince Mcmahon is sometimes the topic of displeasure among the fans as they see him to not take the Divas Division seriously, but Triple H said that it is not the case. He said that Vince loved the Iron Man match between Bayley and Sasha and also thought that the ‘Four Horsewomen’ end was fantastic. Triple H said that Vince has a totally different approach of projecting women on the main roster but gives free reigns to Triple H to book the NXT Women’s Division. He also added that Mr. McMahon was present backstage during the takeover and was excited for the event. He jokingly said that it was unusual for him to be backstage and just watch.

He spoke about Finn Balor’s joke doing the DX cross chop at the TNA headquarters and also said that he found it funny and told Balor it was up to him to post it on social media or not. He also answered the question which has been asked by many fans regarding the future of Apollo Crews and in the future whether he would be the first African-American WWE champion. He said that Crews has everything to be a future champion and that people should not forget the Rock or Booker T, who were former champions.
