Last night's episode of WWE RAW saw the 'Prizefighter', Kevin Owens winning the WWE Universal championship, thanks to an interference by the Game,Triple H. Kevin Owens faced Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Big Cass in a Fatal-4-Way elimination match in the main event after Finn Balor relinquished the title last week on Raw, a day after winning it at SummerSlam.
The Fatal-4-Way match was well on its way with Big Cass being the first one eliminated before Triple H made his unexpected return to Pedigree Roman Reigns outside the ring and moments later, he turned on Rollins and delivered a Pedigree to him just to see Owens cash in and cover Rollins for the victory. This left Rollins furious after the match.
But the same cannot be said for the fans as they accepted Owens as the champion and that was evident from the “You deserve it” chants when Owens celebrated the victory in the ring. Even the WWE superstars welcomed the Champions with open arms and sent out a congratulatory message on Twitter. Here is what they had to say after Owens won the title:
