What's the story?

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Luke Harper recently teased the possibility of leaving WWE for his former promotion Dragon Gate USA.

However, one certain man who apparently seems to be pretty familiar with Harper's work is non-other than AEW Executive Vice President, Nick Jackson.

In case you didn't know...

Having made his WWE debut in 2012, Luke Harper has established himself as a tag team specialist and has also showcased his in-ring skills as a singles superstar as well. Harper, however, hasn't competed on WWE TV for months now, following the disruption of The Bludgeon Brothers after an injury to his former tag team partner Erick Rowan.

Harper, though, made his return to in-ring competition at a recent Raw Live Event where he faced Apollo Crews. But, with WrestleMania 35 just around the corner, it now looks like WWE do not have any plans to bring back Harper to TV.

The heart of the matter

Those who have been following Luke Harper on Twitter should be pretty familiar with the former Intercontinental Champion's style of tweeting. For instance, below is Harper's latest tweet and this also has become a trend which he has been following for quite some time now, for almost every single day:

Similarly, one half of The Young Bucks and AEW's, Nick Jackson tweeted out something similar this past Monday. Nick's tweet was short but it clearly follows the pattern which WWE's Luke Harper has been following for months now.

Another one of AEW's Executive Vice President, Cody responded to Nick's tweet with a gif of Matt Hardy:

What's next?

All of this teasing is definitely exciting, considering how AEW has been open to signing some of WWE's recently released stars, as well as the company's former superstars as well. Whether or not Harper departs from WWE and signs with AEW remains a big question but we'll surely keep an eye out for this developing story.
